Hi Ed's, long time reader, rare poster.
I know this must have been asked constantly, but what are Klopps primary positions he wishes to improve this summer? And what is the budget he has? Can't help but feel that we are wasting a great opportunity to strengthen while we are on top, only going to let City get closer to us.

{Ed002's Note - Ideally he would be looking for a CB, an AM and perhaps cover for the forward players. I am not aware of any budget and the money would likely be what can be raised through sales less about 25%. The Club has to deal with financial issues that it has as a priority.}

With a pool of potential "transferables" of Karius, Lovren, Shaqiri, Grujic, Phillips, Ejaria, Ojo, Wilson and Awoniyi, and with lots of luck, I imagine we could get those 2-3 players in.

I still like shaqiri. He's a wonderful footballer and I've seen him work v hard in a red shirt. Does anyone have any theories as to why he barely played last season.

Robbiesline I think he looks boss in fits and spurts but doesn’t do it for 90 minutes. If you look at Mane he’s at it none stop for the whole game whereas Shaq just seems to want the ball where he can do damage. He’s obviously talented though and in my opinion was a good signing.

Shaq isn’t as good as mane or salah in many aspects it’s as simple as that. Not as good as them and can’t stay as fit. If we switch on to watch the game and shaq was in ahead of Mane/ salah we would go mad. Let him go and start bringing in the top knot.

I guess it's damn hard for any forward to get in our side, especially wide players as we surely have two of the best in mane and salah. I've seen shaq in midfield for us and the game seemed to pass him by, although he is capable of bits of magic.

I agree that 13mil (at the time, when 50mil seemed cheap for a decent cm) was a good signing. If you're looking for a goal he can offer something, there are worse subs eh. I used to like his bits of class on motd, seems a bit of a shame that we never see him anymore. I hated his smug celebration. Until he scored a bicycle kick against utd, then I loved it.
