morning eds.

i know we have failed on a couple of occasions to aquire a new left back.

i do apologise i am bringing the subject up but is Klopp looking a for a new left back at all or are we holding out until january or next summer?

if he is do you have any names?

I thought it was a reasonable question.
We read everyday 'Klopp IS looking. ' Or from some other source 'klopp isn't looking'.
Clarification on Kloops position regarding the left back position would be nice.

Short of asking Klopp directly I don't think your going to get an answer.
I imagine Klopp wants a new left back, it's if there is anybody attainable right now, we messed up the chance to sign chilwell, and hector has signed a new contract.
Can't remember what happened to the villa lad top of my head, amavi?
We have signed that young left back, he's not ready but you never know he might get games, klaven can cover there as can Gomez.
Left back is going to be our Achilles heel this season though.

It's Milner unless something of a surprise comes up.

I think he'll do a decent job there myself, even if not ideal because
1) it's not his natural position and
2) he's not the best crosser of the ball with his left foot
However If he stays conservative in his positioning, and occasionally breaks forward when there's a massive overlap, then I think we'll be fine until Jan.
