Hi Ed,

Hope you're well.

Seen rumours of Hakan Çalhanoğlu to LFC doing the rounds again due to Ox's long-term injury. Sources I've seen reporting aren't too reliable, but just wondering whether you know anything about this one?

Thanks mate.

{Ed002's Note - That would be a kick in the gonads for the youngsters. How long is he out for?}

Ox was reported as anything up to 3 months.

Is it the same Italian source that had Bobby on the plane to join Juventus last week?

{Ed002's Note - Then a replacement should not be required.}

Calcio Mercato Web haha - that is the one that reported Bobby to Juventus isn't it?

But Ox's injury is a hamstring one. have a funny feeling that he isn't going to be back until Jan given his patchy record. Not that he's a major part of the squad, but always nice to have people fit. Kind of wishing that we just accepted any sort of bid we got for him earlier.

6 months out with a hamstring?
That's a bit of a stretch (pun intended) !

Ox had 3 months of no game time last season with no injury.

Unfortunately even if it is 1-3 months then I can’t see him leap frogging many of the players ahead of him to get game time when he does return from injury.

Unless we have an injury crisis personally I don’t see Ox getting many minutes over the next 8 months regardless of whether his injury is 1 month or 6 months.

Ox shouldn't be included in any plans for this season, 3 years ago he looked good, dynamic, quick, and a good shot. He's too injury-prone, it's a waste of a spot on the team in my opinion. Naby and Ox would be my first out the door. He'll start less than 10 games this season.

He's hardly a waste of a spot in the team if he's never in the team, is he?
