Hi Ed’s, hope you’re well.
I’ve just started playing football with a lad on a Saturday who’s a Coventry scout. He mentioned David Hancko is high on the list of Liverpool CB options. Assuming he’s mates with other scouts, just came up at training the other day. Thought I’d pass it on ha.
{Ed002's Note - David Hancko (CB) Only joined last summer and a clear not for sale was replaied when Newcastle asked after him. Another on the list for Napoli as a Kim replacement. I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool.}

Liverpool are looking to bring back Jay Spearing to play for the U23's and whilst having a part coaching role with the kids as he looks to take his badges.

He has his badges done is what I read. Battled hardened Pro from the lower leagues to show the youngsters that it's not all glitz and glimmer in the football world. Also knows the club and the area. Good move for me.

It’s not about letting off Bolton, but doing right by the player, which we did not do. And 50k really is small fry to a club like ours, so it’s not particularly good behavior.

Joking aside o remembered feeling really embarrassed by the whole saga. I don't know the ins and outs but Bolton needed a player, a local boy needed to play. Just let them get on with it.

Bolton were in bad shape financially and I think Spearing had played a certain amount of games for them. If he had played anymore they would have had to pay £50 grand to Liverpool. Small change to a club like Liverpool, sad that they just didn't write it off and let Spearing continue his career.

Hi Eds, With Burnley likley to go down, i was wondering if Liverpool have held any interest in Josh Brownhill? Really like the look of this kid, hard working on and off the ball, i think he could be turned into a good ball winning midfielder, great defensive stats for playing in a very poor team. Have you seen much of the player?

He's a good player for a mid table team like Man United or Everton, but lacks the quality on the ball to play for us in my opinion. He's 26 years old as well so for all action his style of play he's pretty much coming inti his peak few years. He's not much better (if at all) than Jones, Elliott, Carvalho or Morton despite that.

Hi Ed’s, a question on RB, we all know we need cover and competition for Trent, I was just wondering what the plans are for Connor Bradley? Really impressive loan spell for Bolton this season. Only 19 and putting up these stats :
46 games
•7 goals
•6 assists
•4 MOTM's
•19 clean sheets
Do you think he’s ready to cover Trent and offer that competition? Or is Connor Ramsey going to be that when fit?

I would rather he play for us, Bugle. Personally, I feel that is the best way for him to grow. Going on loan is good for game time but it ultimately doesn't help him integrate with our team and how we play. We have a need for an RB so why not give the spot to him to see how he fares with us.

Appreciate it's hard to pin the 'Kiddies' Down, but a few players there who have been suggested to have big futures over the past 18 months. Wondering there is some kind of progress update you could provide? Always keen to see how the next gen are getting on.

Ed001 do you see Milner getting another year or do you think he leaves in the summer, if he goes I think Morton could cover his minutes but if he stays another year then I think a loan would be best for him as from what I have seen of Morton I do believe he has a place with us in the future same as Gordon not sure about the rest.

To add to that Grino75, I think Owen Beck will be pretty good too. Bradley, I think is not suited to how we want our RBs to play (I have hardly seen him cross in all the matches he played for us), but I think he can be a good linking midfielder. His short passing, and athleticism are great.
I really liked Clarkson, but his loan didn't turn out as well and he's almost 21 now, so a decision would need to be made soon. I thought Musialowski would get a first team chance by now, but maybe he hasn't progressed as expected.

Koparmy all still young but to play at the level we are at you can normally see when they get there chance. Morton has looked good a lot off hype about Bradley but from what I have seen I can’t see him being in are squad in the future for me he looks nowhere near Williams level and it looks like he will be moving on in the summer. The others not really seen enough of them to judge.

Hi Ed's. I've seen Malen is now likely to join Dortmund and Leicester are close to bringing in Daka. Any other numbers 9's Liverpool are looking at if these two move elsewhere?

We need an out n out Center forward. Goal scoring number 9. Last season shows that the famous front three are wilting, slowing down. Salah isn’t, the other two are blowing. Jota is a breath of fresh air to cover the Wide positions, and we need That through the middle also!

Hi Eds, i've seen today we'll be willing to let Neco Williams leave for 10m. Surely having a RB to fill in for Trent is more valuable than the 10m. or are we planning on using Gomez or Konate as a RB cover? Cheers Eds.

Trent is out most creative player. Our whole system is pretty much get it to the full backs and let them create. Gomez and Konate would be useless out there. Neco gets sold another RB has to come in as cover.

Heard this too and was surprised hearing 10M. Not sure is it Euros or Sterling but I would have thought £6M would have been more realistic. If someone bids £9M or £10M even then I'd imagine it's hard to turn down.
Awkward to buy a backup when Trent is so good, don't know would they just rely on all the players who can play RB to cover instead (Milner, Gomez, Konate, Fabinho. maybe another youngster)

Call me bias being welsh, but I actually like Neco's forward play, maybe not the best crosser but that will come. I do also like Pedro Porro if we were to sell. Great forward play and likes to get the ball into the box. Ed's, is Pedo Porro of any interest this summer?

Or just get another right back. Trent has played all but 2 PL games last 2 seasons. He needs resting and rotating, remember how awful he was around for like 2/ 3 months last season and we couldn't drop him. Our squad depth is horrible.

@DavidK, Neco was fit for some of that and wasn't used. Then when Trent was injured he wasn't fully trusted but he is young and will improve. I think Trent is too good for a better backup right back to be willing to join us, unless they are versatile enough to cover more than just right back.

did I just see someone say to replace the 32yr old Henderson, with the 33yr old Toni Kroos? Replace Jones? Honestly, the logic on this forum sometimes. We're in dying need of Central mids under 25, and you want to get rid of one of the most promising midfielders we've had through the academy since Gerrard? Give the lad some time, he's under 21 and is trying to break into the Liverpool first team.
On a separate note, Ed002, and another random name to throw out there, Kouadio Koné, has he attracted much attention from the premier league, Liverpool specifically?

{Ed002's Note - Kouadio Kone (CM/DM/AM) Prior interest of Milan has gone. Newcastle did approach Borussia Muenchegladbach but they will resist a sale and try and agree a new deal. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool at this time.}

Ox shouldn't be included in any plans for this season, 3 years ago he looked good, dynamic, quick, and a good shot. He's too injury-prone, it's a waste of a spot on the team in my opinion. Naby and Ox would be my first out the door. He'll start less than 10 games this season.
