Afternoon Eds.

The Times (via Paul Joyce) are running a story about Mignolet, they say the decision has been made that he is staying for the coming season.

Do you have any further info on him at all?

I'm assuming he has 2+ years left on his contract so as a lamen I guess that allowing for his wages (minus that of his replacements) and resale value reduction it wouldn't be too much of an issue and one less piece of the pre season puzzle to worry about. That being if he was truly happy to be second string. His professionalism has been nothing short of outstanding this season so i’d be very happy if it was true.

I can only assume we will allow him to go IF we find a replacement and IF the offer is right for both us and Mignolet.

As much as I love his commitment and putting the team first, surely he needs to be looking for 1st team football elsewhere?
