Ed001 - Could Solanke in mean Ings out? I am having a hard time making sense of Solanke simply swapping Chelsea U23 for LFC U23 given his potential and talent. Just a thought.

{Ed001's Note - it means we do not have to rely on Ings being back to his best immediately, Sturridge staying fit or Origi being ready this time around. Sturridge is the one in the most immediate danger of going, Ings will be given time to regain fitness.}

Quick follow up Ed001, while you're discussing Solanke's place in the squad. His arrival doesn't affect Luan's does it? Still going for him as well are we?

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, the two are not contingent on each other.}

Maybe more of a question of is sturrage leaves? Can't see us keeping 6 forwards happy, even if we play with two up front.

I think Solanke is a fantastic signing.

For me Origi has not looked anywhere near the player he was last year before his injury. Since coming back he has looked out of his depth. He cannot hold the ball up, his touch is poor and always 3-5 yards away from him, he cannot get past players and his work rate has dropped so much that you barely see him closing down the opposition like he used to.

I would like to see him as the first striker out the door to pave the way for Solanke to get some game time with Roberto/ Sturridge (or replacement if sold) our main strikers competing for a starting place with Ings/ Solanke as back up and getting game time in cups and off the bench.
