Hi Eds,
Do we have any interest in Gianluigi Donnarumma? I know that this is not our main priority but with only 12 months left on his contract it would be a great signing and hopefully at a lesser price than you would normally expect.

{Ed001's Note - I would say going for the Italy U20s keeper would be the better bet, judging by his performances at the U20s World Cup. He has been outstanding and I don't believe he has Mino as his agent, so wouldn't cripple our wage bill.}

Would love Donnarumma but getting a new goalkeeper isn't a priority. We need to get in a LB (Mendy), winger (Salah), CB (VVD) and CM (Keita) first even if it's going to cost the world. Also, Karius has barely had a proper chance and Klopp loves him, and if Migs continues to improve at his current rate, we won't need a new goalkeeper anytime soon.

I think Solanke is a fantastic signing.
For me Origi has not looked anywhere near the player he was last year before his injury. Since coming back he has looked out of his depth. He cannot hold the ball up, his touch is poor and always 3-5 yards away from him, he cannot get past players and his work rate has dropped so much that you barely see him closing down the opposition like he used to.
I would like to see him as the first striker out the door to pave the way for Solanke to get some game time with Roberto/ Sturridge (or replacement if sold) our main strikers competing for a starting place with Ings/ Solanke as back up and getting game time in cups and off the bench.

I'm not sure what LFC fans want. Everyone is calling for 2 LBs to come in and we have made Ryan S a main target. If we are able to get him then would we also want a very expensive young LB in Mendy which would give Sessegnon very little chance to break through into the 1st team for a good number of years.
Signing an experienced PL LB, like Clichy, who has won trophies at both Arsenal and City with a youngster waiting to take his place in the next couple of years would make perfect sense to me. Yes Clichy will not be everyones cup of tea but he will be a step up from Milner.
If we manage to get Sessegnon and loan him back we would have Clichy/ Milner this year, Sessgnon/ Clichy next year and saved ourselves some ££s which could be re-invested in other positions.
