Ed002 i have seen that seville are trying to sell negredo, surely we must be interested in a top striker like that on the cheap? {Ed002's Note - Like Sturridge? Sure.}

You've obviously never seen him play if you think he's a top striker, either that or you know very little about football mate!

Afternoon Ed, any chance there's anything happening around Inan or yilmaz?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed002's Note - Not involving Liverpool I would think Chris.}

Hi ed's great site by the way getting better!

My question is sahin leaving for good? I know ince is about to sign like you said, what's up with assaidi.he needs a chance to play! And i'm still waiting on butland even if he stays loaned at birmingham.you think he will sign soon rather than later? {Ed001's Note - Sahin is up in the air, there are a couple of teams in Germany trying to buy him from Madrid. It is complicated though, as they have to also agree a deal to break the loan off, with us having paid a loan fee it is not simple. I really doubt Butland will arrive in January, I also hope he doesn't come in the summer unless he makes massive improvement because he has been awful this season.}

I would rather see Begovic or one of the young german goalkeepers come to the club than Butland.

I think Assaidi is at the ACON at the moment.

Just a quick question Ed about Sahin, if a German club sign him does that mean we get some kind of compensation for the loan fee we paid? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Liverpool in a cut price deal for Ashley Cole, Brenden wants him on a 2 and a half year deal as cover for Jose and to bring Robinson on.Only sticking point is his wage demands

Clee Red.

Ince deal is off

Where have you heard this rumour? would be a great signing but am sure his wages would be to much plus he might want champions league football!

Cole as cover for Jose? Are you serious?

Markolfc

Lmao utter dog poo!!

Yeh because FSG love signing players of his age! No thanks, Jack Robinson is really improving and is capable of providing cover for Jose! Although, Wisdom at RB and Johnson at LB works much better with Jose in front of him!

Still one of the best left backs in the world and he's going to join us (way below Chelsea at present).....ya dream on....and as cover? Maybe we'll get Mourinho & Guardiola to both come as joint assistant managers to help Rodgers as he's still quite young also....right

sean ireland

Cashley Cole??

Chelsea are in the Europa league though as well

Wesley Sneijder's agent, Soren Lerby, has been in touch with LFC about a move. Lerby has advised LFC and a number of other premier league clubs that Sneijder is willing to take a pay cut to come to England.Sneijder has said that after months out of action he does not want to warm the bench at City, United or Chelsea, and LFC appeals to him. Not to sure if Liverpool want him but he sound like he want to come so you never know
Murton Red

Give him a 6 month loan

The thing is even if he took a cut on what he has been on how much weekly would he want? If someone drops from say £150000 a week to £120000 that's still a lot of money!Wesley's a fine player but he's had a lot of injuries recently.

The Plank

I think from what BR said just before xmas. LFC are in the market for a number 10 as he said, that being an attacking midfielder. But it was the sort player that they will look at in the summer once they have or don't have CL footie.
He also said that if the right player / deal became available that they would look at it / him.
But personally I don't think Wesley Snijder is going to be in that remit of "right deal" he is the right quality and type just not the right money yet!
But stranger things have happened.

Markolfc

If Sahin goes ill welcome him with open arms, Gerrard cam, Schnider left centre, Lucas right centre very naughty if you ask me....

Ahhhh... twitter! So believable, yet so unbelievable... Singred

Liverpool already have a class number 10in gerrard if they want. thy could easily buy m'vila and huddleston to cover any gap left by him going forward for less than £4 million

Another mindless fan. He isn't coming. Our owners don't have the money to buy another major signing

We don't have Sneijdermoney and who wants someone who just wants to play for the megabucks pay cheque. We just gotta rid o one in Joe Cole.

10 Jan 2013 20:31:55
ince will come in. gameiro won't. he was only a back up if sturridge didn't arrive.

sahin looks to be leaving meaning a space in midfield for a replacement loan/loan to buy. who it is i have no idea at the moment. do the eds know of any midfielders that are of interest now or in the recent past?

brens thinks {Ed001's Note - I don't know of any we are making an attempt to sign this window, no. Mind it is still early in the window and Sahin might not actually go yet, so it could be we are waiting to see what happens with him.}

10 Jan 2013 19:35:16
Any ounce of truth in the £15m rumours on Twitter? ( I guess I answered my own question when I mentioned Twitter, but curious of any interest and scouting )

Cheers

Benjani

Hi Ed's,

Not incommings; but any news of outgoings?

Pacheco, Doni, Wilson (has he a future as he can't seem to get in championship teams whilst on loan)?

Thanks

Hoola {Ed001's Note - I believe we have held talks with Norwich and Cardiff over Pacheco, not sure if anything has come of them. Apparently Bellers recommended him to Malky Mackay as a potential target. Doni is available and looking for a return to Brazil. Wilson has some interest, for a loan move mainly though and we only want that to happen if he is sure to get games.}

Thanks Ed :o) much appreciated. {Ed001's Note - you're welcome.}

10 Jan 2013 23:50:10
Danny Wilson is currently injured isn't he? or just recovering from an injury. His loan runs out near this month end.

Wilson is at bristol city on loan has only made a couple of sub appearances {Ed001's Note - and that's the issue, he goes out on loan and doesn't play, we are trying to ensure he does play or, if possible, we sell him.}

10 Jan 2013 19:01:48
Hi any truth in the Moussa Sow rumours that we've made a 10 m euros or pounds bid for him??

don't know much about him nor about Gameiro are either of them the quality we need and are the prolific that what we are crying out for.

Borini was a waste of money for me but hope he proves me wrong and does the business on his return. {Ed001's Note - sorry I don't know anything about it.}

Borini has played for about two months and he's a waste of money. Give me strength.

Po

Borini has been injured for the vast majority of his very short time at Liverpool - he's young, hard working and gives us strength in depth - have a word with yourself.

SMc

We have a ell top goal scorer it don't get more prolific then that. Granted he misses easy chances but so does rvp an Rooney but answer me this would we get half the chance that Suarez creates for himself with a talk goal poacher?

10 Jan 2013 18:42:20
How come Ed001 says he does not think ince deal will not come through whereas Ed002 says it will -- really confusing! {Ed001's Note - because it is opinion, we know we want him, he just has more faith in the club to complete the deal than I do.}

I thought the eds on here were the eds because they had inside knowledge. If its just opinions by the eds why shoul anyone on here listen {Ed001's Note - what kind of inside knowledge could anyone possibly have on a negotiation over price? Perhaps you would like us all to be sat in watching? There is absolutely no way any inside knowledge could tell anyone, whether a deal will be done or not. That is why there are so many conflicting stories. I really feel that it so blatantly obvious without my explanation, that I am probably wasting my time trying to explain it to you.}

I think we need to move on from the Tom Ince deal Bascombe has already confirmed it it NOT happening. Rodgers has already said Sturridge will be the only signing due to lack of finance.

If you feel you're wasting your time on this site, nameless poster, then please don't listen to the eds, and feel free to leave.

Ed001, please don't let people like that chase you from the LFC page again, it's good to have you back, mate!

-Red Socks {Ed001's Note - I will always be around, it is just sometimes I feel the need to have a break from this particular site. It matters more to me, as it is my team, so sometimes you just need to step back or end up losing your rag and saying something you shouldn't.}

I would also like to know why the eds seem to try {Ed001's Note - I have an idea for you, if you don't like it, don't come here acting the knob.}

It's called Liverpool rumours. This person really should read the dictionary more often. Maybe have a game of Scrabble with the gran. The eds are simply editors Who are or might be involved in the football business. Either way, they can only know what they know

Lynchy {Ed001's Note - run along, you are too stupid to understand that there are a lot of editors, some are just here to edit and keep the sites running. Others are not. But you are just some tit with an agenda, so run along back to your own website and don't waste my time with your lies and whines.}

10 Jan 2013 18:33:27
Any LFC interest in Moussa Sissoko? Available for 3.5 million EUROS in this transfer window as he is out of contract in the Summer. Surely worth a punt at this price?

10 Jan 2013 18:17:10
Spanish media are reporting that dani Pacheco is in talks with Leeds about a loan move.

Mart86

Sereiusly why don't we terminate his contract! The guy sucks, he's been here longer than i can remember

10 Jan 2013 18:03:11
News from my source

Raul Garcia in for 12mil€ plus Daniel Pacheco l

We only had £20 mill to spend

I've never heard nonsense like this in my life!

10 Jan 2013 20:02:49
Is that the dude from addams family?

Why would we need another central mid player?

Because the one thing Liverpool need is another midfielder?

Actually I think the Lucas injury proved we DID need another midfielder, Sahin maybe going, jonjo isn't ready for a deep role, allen is no good defensively, that leaves us with gerrard and Henderson.

Ya that leaves us with Gerrard Henderson and Lucas and that's enough we've more important positions to concentrate on

10 Jan 2013 17:54:37
Eds do you think we will just sign one more player (Ince) making it 2 players in or do you think a 3rd may happen? Personally I'd by a right winger. {Ed001's Note - I believe we are hoping to make 3 signings, though I remain unconvinced Ince will move. Hard to say until they get a new manager at Blackpool.}

Sturridge - Anywhere across the front 3 - Done

Honda - Anywhere across the midfield and front 3 - £8m - Free agent in the summer

Austin - Very good back up striker if he can do it at the top level - £8m

What position do you expect the third signing to be, ed? I think that with Ince and Sturridge, and future returns from Borini and Assaidi, we will be quite well in the attacking three 'till the summer.

Drigan {Ed001's Note - I expect another forward, but of a more direct type to Suarez etc. If we can get one of course.}

I strongly doubt that Ince is coming. And to me, that's not a problem.

I believe in the news from different European sources today that LFC have made a bid for Moussa Sow, and I also believe that Arda Turan is high on the agenda if an opportunity is given.
To me personally, this would be very good news.
PS. As you can see, I'm not spesific about if this is loans ore buys...

Ed what positions do those signings play in? {Ed001's Note - well the plan was Ince, Sturridge and another forward, I believe.}

10 Jan 2013 16:35:18
Why don't you think Zaha is good enough ed001? or other eds? {Ed001's Note - no end product. Almost every time he gets the ball it ends up in the stands. That is why he has so few assists or goals, despite getting numerous chances to create or finish a goal scoring opportunity. He is all fancy flicks, little substance to them though. There needs to be more to a trick, it needs to be a means to an end, for him they are the only thing. I don't think he has the right personality to ever change that, he seems far too full of himself to listen and learn. I could well be wrong though, he might knuckle down and fix that part of his game under the right coaches.}

Ed, your description of Zaha reminds me about lots of things said about a young Christiano Ronaldo. And he didn't turn out to be a bad player (even if he is full of himself). {Ed001's Note - except that he wanted to improve his game. When Zaha shows signs of that, then I will agree with you. He is not even close to that level of ability anyway, he is not in the same league as Ronaldo at 17, let alone at the age of 20, which Zaha is.}

Ed001, as ever, your observations are accurate and well judged. The Ed worth listening to and truly "in the know."

10 Jan 2013 19:03:01
Like a young CR...

CR's record reads a little better, and against better opposition - but, importantly, with better teams around him.

I'd like to see more Zaha's, Sterling's and Wickham's make starting XI's in front of older "journeymen" imports.

What could Zaha be with a top team around him - Messi started his accent around the same age.... {Ed001's Note - Ronaldo was far better than Zaha at the same age.}

I believe that neither Zaha or Ince are that great. There are much better players around Europe. Yuong and cheaper.

Zaha is sh!t and arrogant

Suarez, last season ed001? {Ed001's Note - yes, but Suarez has always wanted to improve, Zaha already considers himself a great player.}

Cristiano ronaldo had no end product to his game and the ball used to end up in the stands after every shot, with his first two seasons in the prem, annd look how he turned out

10 Jan 2013 21:47:28
I am a Liverpool fan as much as any of the other regular visitors of this site. I like the fact that we can all voice our opinions on all issues LFC. But guys PLEASE BASE THEM ON FACT. Say Wilfred has to work on his final ball/end product...THIS IS FACT. Say sometimes if Wilfred does not get the better of the opposing full back you can see him visibly get frustrated, just like Sterling.....THIS IS FACT. But please do not hypothesise a character or his attitude to work. I say this as someone that has watched a 9 year old boy at Whithorse Manner Primary school turn into and England International. A boy who still struggles to look people in the eye when he speaks to them, seldom gives interviews because he is not that articulate, still calls his mother after training to take her shopping etc and turned up at the house of his first football coach at Smiths Sports Academy to thank him personaly and show him his England call up notification. IN SHORT.....Wilfred is a good kid and a he'll of slot less BIG TIME then many of the other young footballers I see around Mayfair London on a daily basis!
Y.N.W?A {Ed001's Note - if you say so mate. I have met the lad too, I found him extremely full of himself, but I won't argue with you, it could have been just simply him hiding behind that out of shyness.}

I agree with an above post, I don't think Ince or Zaha are that good. I'm hearing United have as good as signed Zaha for what will eventually rise to 12 million, can't believe Fergie has sanctioned this. Then again who am I to argue with Fergie, he obviously sees something I don't. Zaha's scoring record is actually very poor.

10 Jan 2013 20:58:07
ED001 - your reply CR was far better at same age - I'm not really disputing it - I can't because it's apples and pears. We don't know what he(Zaha) is til he's at the right level. CR might have got there sooner by ability and that's why his career started with Porto and UTD. It may be harder to get to them level's through English clubs(as a young english player) and that's why Zaha is only showing his ability in the second tier of England. I think Zaha is a lot like Sterling - exciting because we haven't had that type of player in this country for so long. It remains to see if either can light up a world stage - you must join me in hoping they do.... {Ed001's Note - you may be right, Ronaldo would certainly have had better coaching, maybe that is what Zaha needs. I just don't see any more than a young lad lacking discipline on the pitch, not playing for the team.}

I agree with ed here, why do people seem to think zaha is on Ronaldos level? If he was anywhere near that level then he would have been picked up by a prem club by now

Yes Zaha wastes a lot of chances regularly, but is still only 20. Believe me in 3-4 years if he signs for a prem club now he will be scoring 15-20 goals a season no doubt.

Went to the cardiff vs palace boxing day game, and 2nd choice right back mcnaughton had zaha in his pocket all game. Not as good as the media make him out to be

10 Jan 2013 16:54:53
Hi eds,
With Blackpool boss Michael Appleton likely to leave and join Blackburn, do you think this will affect any potential Tom Ince deal?

Cheers
VGRed {Ed002's Note - No.}

Appleton is staying at Blackpool he has only just arrived {Ed001's Note - you might want to check that again.}

He ain't going to go to local rivals {Ed001's Note - are you sure?}

Errrr compensation agreed between B/Burn and B/Pool for Appleton so I'd guess ed 2 is right and you two are both wrong!

The Plank

Ince has confirmed he is staying at Blackpool - Sturridge will be the only sigining me thinks

10 Jan 2013 16:42:42
According to Echo's Liverpool FC writer, James Pearce, if Rodgers succeeds in signing Tom Ince at £6m, that would mean the vast majority of his Jan. Transfer fund already spent.

By this logic, I'm guessing Rodgers had 20m to spend this Jan; 12m on Sturidge and 6m on Ince leaving the ballance of 2m, which could go into the loan signing of Gameiro whom he said Rodgers had watched by LFC scouts.

If Gameiro's loan signing falls through, there may be another loan signing on the horizon but I don't know who.

There is nothing on Musa Sow of Fernabace, according to Pearce and Sahin is definitely leaving. Rogers rated him very highly but has admitted it hasn't worked out due to injuries.

LFC are standing firm on thier valuation of Tom Ince and B/Pool might lower their asking price a little or we are off. He still has 18 months in his contract

According to Pearce, Ince fits LFC's youth with potential policy and Rogers deems him as skillful with a hunger to succeed, rather than experienced players who might be a tad expensive.

But my grouse with this policy is not all experienced players are expensive, for instance Michu.

Rather than wasting the whole January waiting for B/pool to soft pedal which they may not do, I would suggest we look to other options that would improve us now to avoid another Dempsey scenario. Gary Hooper would do for me,

Abroad Red

I didn't realise James Pearce was on LFC's payroll at board room level, Simonpw

If buying youth with potential and sell on value is liverpools strategy.... why the hell are we not showing interest in Zaha. Is he not supposed to be the next big thing {Ed001's Note - because he is just hype and will cost a fortune.}

20 million to spend ? What's this football manager on pc tactics coming to real football again ? Fsg and Brendan will have a list of targets that they will go for, i hate it when people think the spend is black or white, you can't tell me that if they get a call from an agent for a very good player available that would take the so called jan budget to say £23 million they would say "no sorry, we've only got £20 million " prices are inflated in January fsg know this but at the same time if they can get a player that meets there criteria that improves the squad and they can get for a good price .ie he is free in summer so there club would rather get something than nothing then lfc will go for him ! Simple !

Sahin situation hasn't got anything to do with injuries but being told he would get a lot of starts and hasn't. Also he wasn't played in his prefered position he wanted Allen's position and was out spoken about it.

Also I heard Liverpool paid most of his loan fee upfront so don't think we will get that back

10 Jan 2013 20:14:05
Zaha's a talented boy, but for all his 1st team experience in the Championship, does he really represent good value at a £10m - £15m premium to what we already have coming through the youth ranks. He's a year older than Suso, 2 yrs older than Raheem. One very decent performance against an already qualified Inter side doesn't guarantee our future, but the LFC of tomorrow already has plenty of bright sparks. Also, if we are being so dogged in our pursuit of Ince, then that is telling, as Ince is (from memory) a proper winger, whereas (based on watching him play a couple of times late last season) Zaha is better through the centre, for all his pace and trickery.
I would have thought that if BR is looking at any additional buys this window, he would probably have an eye to the full backs given injuries and his fairly evident indifference to Flanno.
Anyway, the media's all excited about our Sunday hosts snapping up Zaha for £12m and then loaning him back. Whatever.
Dawkins

10 Jan 2013 16:31:01
Modibo diakite to move to liverpool in summer.
He will be a free agent then.
Looks like Carra will retire at the end of the season.
-Kop Warrior
remember the name {Ed002's Note - I would doubt Diakite moving to Liverpool in the summer.}

10 Jan 2013 18:00:14
Have anybody watched him, he's rubish. A Stoke mould player.

10 Jan 2013 16:16:50
just read that ajax and gala are interested in assaidi loan first then to buy him if he impresses. any truth or just rubbish? hope its rubbish was hoping a lot for this lad and could excel really well given the chance!

What a team Galatasary are building

10 Jan 2013 16:14:30
Tom Ince deal is a off.

Razors nads

This is not true, Ince deal will go through either tomorow or saturday

10 Jan 2013 18:00:57
Any post that has 3 of the next 4 words is pointless "Tom" "Ince" "on" "off".

It's changing by the hour and the only reason it's getting so much exposure is because of how hungry us fans are for info.

He's a decent bit of business for between 3.5 - 5M pounds, despite the bitter taste of letting him go - but he's still a bit of a gamble. I don't want holding over a barrel by Oysten's set-up again.

If Fergie and Utd were so interested they'd have blown us out of the water with a £8M bid already - like they're doing with Zaha - the current posturing is a mix of Blackpool, Ince's advisors and (seemingly) our rivals pushing up the price - I'm happy that we look like we have a price where we're willing to walk away. Financial maturity, two deals we walked away from in summer were Dempsey and Gylfi - they seem like good moves so far.

As fans we always remember the Ronaldo or Alves type deals where we missed out on superb players because of 2/4M. But we're quick to criticise the prices paid for Downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam. One or two windows with a responsible spending policy(like what we're showing) will help us in both types of scenario.

Hopefully.

Reusch.

Good we need people with more experience that are proven in the premier league

10 Jan 2013 15:51:56
Where have all the "Sneijder set to sign for Liverpool: 100 per cent fact" posters gone? ;-)

No he has gone to Galatasary

They are still here its just they are now saying 100% sow to sign, "you heard it here first" ;)............andy

U will see he is going to sign I still believe.

10 Jan 2013 18:01:50
Turkey?

Gone tips join Albert Riera

Sneijder won't be going to turkey wants to play in the prem league, won't sign for man u, city or arsenal only stumbling block for teams interested is his wages

Back home to Twitter

10 Jan 2013 15:50:25
reporting Assaidi off on loan to either ajax or galatasary

No that's not true at the moment he's at the AC and will see how he performance when he get's back

Or the african cup maybe

It will do him good to get some playing time

10 Jan 2013 23:12:56
Really have no idea why we haven't given this lad more playing time.

Big John

10 Jan 2013 15:37:57
Any truth to the bid for Sow or the interest in Kalou eds? Obviously would have to be after they're free from ACON duty but even then I'd guess it's most likely rumour mongering. Would you expect Ince & Jeffren will most likely finish our forwards business?
Much Thanks
RedKev {Ed002's Note - Sow would be an odd move in my view. Kalou was available in the summer - perhaps a better tim was then. Ince I expect to happen still and it is quiet around Jeffren.}

Whose this sow

Kalou wouldn't get in my local pub team, he's garbage.

10 Jan 2013 14:47:42
Just read a rumour on sporting life that we have lodged a 10-12 million pound bid for moussa sow, i personaly think its untrue, i think we will sign ince for 6-7 million can't really see him making more off an impact than babel or pennant and will be sold in a few years, wish we would just finaly sell carrol to toon for 12-18 million and sign another forward, eds if sahin goes who do you think we will sign? I really can't see brendan trusting henderson in midfield if gerrard/Lucas/allen are injured for a few months, last point we are being linked with the defender mirin for 7-9 million this seems silly when we are covered in defence hope that this isnt true and we put all funds to sign forwards as i think coates carra kelly wisdom are good cover till summer YNWA

Some people amaze me - why disrespect Henderson, the boy is quality. He will make all you doubters eat their words in years to come - and just hope it's at Liverpool and not somewhere else.
I think most of the people who slate Jordan are the same blinkered fans who did the same to Lucas.

John B

Henderson has been great this season.

Henderson is much better than Allen

10 Jan 2013 19:13:32
We are dangerous on sites like this, the rumour on SL was a "site contributor" suggesting another "site contributor" to BBC has good information from a Turkish rag.

When names like Sporting Life (Sky owned) and BBC start using sources like this it proves 2 things....

1) Footy journalism is a joke

2) Some big name outlets are a worse joke

We have some posters here that like a porky pie every so often, I'd expect better from organisations funded by tax (TV License) and subscription (sky).

10 Jan 2013 19:29:09
John be - let me start out by saying I've been a massive supporter of Lucas most of his Liverpool career (did waver a bit in Rafa's last season when all he seemed to want to do was maim opposition midfielders). Also I'm a huge Henderson follower - he's got all the skills to be a Viera type midfielder.

We didn't pay over the odds for Lucas but we did put a huge burden on him early - and Henderson had to deal with both the price-tag and the expectation early.

It seems great business to get players like this in early - but that has to be balanced against what they do for they team/squad/overall achievement immediatley. Both underperformed in this area - and both managers have to take blame for that.

In what way is henderson 'quality' ?! I don't understand why everyone says the boys got potential etc as he's certainly never shown it. Does he ever get assists? Does he ever score goals? Does he even go on fancy dribbles or produce 40 yard passes that please the eye? He does absolutely nothing and has an awful pass completion rate. You are all blinded by optimism if you think he'll ever be anything other than very very average. Someone with 'quality' is eden hazard who is exactly the same age. Do you realise how deluded you are now? {Ed001's Note - considering he has 3 assists this season and has barely figured, I think we can say he does get assists.}

Fenerbache paid about 10m euro for Sow less than a year ago, why would they be willing to sell him for 12m to 14m euro now?

27 appearances for Fenerbache so far this year, 10 goals.. Why would they sell him for no profit?

I'm sorry but Henderson is not dynamic and runs in a crab like manner ..it seems to be a balance issue he has..maybe he will improve but he will never be dynamic as the last guy said ! I don't like to belittle any of our players.. Henderson is about consistency, in the same way Lucas is which is why so many comparisons are being drawn :(
I would have masc for Lucas & alonso for Allen eight days a week ..if we can get 15m for Henderson I'd bite your hand off ..if you think we couldn't sell him for this then it speaks for itself !

10 Jan 2013 14:32:35
Eds, have we any interest in the holding midfielder at real bêtis. Benat I think his name is? {Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid, CSKA, Chelsea, Fenerbahce, Arsenal and Wolfsburg have also shown interest in Benat. Txiki Begiristain has, as reported, an interest in taking him to Manchester City. It is beginning to look like the summer would be more likely.}

Eds everythings has seem have gone quiet regarding ince or any other potential signings.any news?? {Ed002's Note - I would expect Ince to go through.}

He won't be coming if he lets his dad do his talking for him! How old is he?

TRANSFER LATEST

Liverpool table a bid of £12.2m for Fenerbahce striker Moussa Sow according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik Gazetesi.

The former Lille forward has scored 18 goals in 41 games in Turkey.

10 Jan 2013 13:48:59
Fernando Torres will be made available for around €17mil in this transfer window to clubs outside of England. Rafa Benitez has been told he will not be given beyond this season as manager as they have drew up a shortlist of managers to take over. The list includes Frank De Boer, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.

Torres isn't worth a penny

10 Jan 2013 18:36:37
Why outside of england to sign torres?

Alright roman ambromavich with that sensitive info.

10 Jan 2013 12:56:16
Eds got any news on Sow. Read we've bid 15mil euro and linked last year, so must be watching him. {Ed001's Note - I know we have kept tabs on him, I have no idea about any move for him.}

10 Jan 2013 12:52:45
Is there any real interest in Eduardo Vargas, as suggested on the Talk Sport
website, or is this just another case of a player being available and lazy journalism?

10 Jan 2013 12:48:08
Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Liverpool have offered €15 million for Fenerbahce striker Moussa Sow.

The 26-year-old has scored 18 goals in 41 games for Fener since joining the club last January.

Hi Eds - Happy New Year, think you all do a fab job! According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik Gazetesi, Liverpool have tabled a bid of £12.2m for Fenerbahce striker Moussa Sow. Seems a bit out of the blue, can you find out if there is any truth in this report? Thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know to be honest.}

10 Jan 2013 12:39:23
Hi Eds

Great Site-Its seems there is renewed interest in Moussa Sow which a 12M bid placed, any truth in this and is he suited/worth that price tag?
YNWA {Ed002's Note - I really don't know if it is true or not - to me, at that price it would be a very surprising move.}

Hey Ed002

Why would it be surprising? The price too low or high?

Dublad {Ed002's Note - Nothing to do with the price.}

Would you be surprised because the price is too high or too low, ive not seen much of the player
cheer gmil {Ed002's Note - He has been there a year and settled well. I don't know of any interest nor or confirmation so it seems rather speculative. I don't want to get in to the money thing again.}

Thanks for your reply ed..gmil

I just read on the BBC website page, that Liverpool have tabled a 12.2M pound bid for Moussa Sow of Fernbanche. Report from a turkish newspaper.

10 Jan 2013 12:31:56
Bid of 15m for Moussa Sow being reported in the Turkish media...from memory we looked at previously? Cheers

Eds.. What are the chances of sneijder? Looks like its all agreed between inter and galatasary but he hasn't agreed yet, is he holding out for premier league option? We should be trying to get a player of his quality.. Look at man utd with van persie, instant payback after taking a risk on a player of age with injury problems. I no we want young talented players but the likes of sneijder would be a fantastic signing..

Paddock boy {Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed - I don't see a move to Liverpool.}

He is money grabbing just what we don't need

10 Jan 2013 08:26:46
ed do you still believe we will be in for jeffren should we sign ince

seems we d have a lot up top with suarez sturridge borini downing sterling ince suso all battling for three spots

possible we could send someone like suso out on loan? if we did bring in jeffren

tom1975 {Ed002's Note - All I can say is Liverpool enquired after Jeffren for a loan.}

10 Jan 2013 12:20:56
Eds,

Just wandering why we haven't enquired about Zaha? Fits the fsg bill of being young, british, with sell on potential. If Man utd are rumoured to be offering 12m, why arent we?

Cheers {Ed001's Note - because he has no end product. Young, British and not good enough.}

Zaha is one of the Championships brightest young prospects. No end product? did you see his wonder goal the other week? Seriously Ed, I question your sanity sometimes. {Ed002's Note - Crystal Palace will look to hold on to Zaha until the summer and if they get promoted perhaps after that. He was to be allowed to move this past summer at the right price with Sunderland, West Ham and Reading look possible destinations. Liverpool have certainly looked at Zaha in the past but there has been strong recent interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs (as an alternate to an expensive Willian perhaps). Game time will no doubt be a factor in the short-term. Arsenal will ease of on interest if and when Walcott signs a new deal.}

So why borini then, young, Italian, no end product and no sell on value?

Another Lennon, Walcott, SWP, Routledge. A shift of pace and top clubs seem to want to spend £15 on a player!

Thank you Ed001! Zaha is like a headless chicken at times...he clearly has potential but Sturridge has better potential with a better proven end product...so if Man Utd want to pay £12m for Zaha when we paid the same amount for Sturridge then good luck to them but I'm less than convinced he'll ever achieve his potential.

Plus do we really want a player who says that the only players that are better than him are Ronaldo and Messi

Just a youngster who think he's the best player in the world

Belgian Red

Not good enough?what are you talkin about ed? {Ed001's Note - I am saying he is not that good. Highly over rated, loads of tricks which result in a cross, pass or shot that goes into row z. He is far more interested in looking good than actually being good.}

Zaha isn't British he is from the ivory coast

Zaha ain't British! {Ed001's Note - he does have a British passport and counts as homegrown though.}

Wouldn't he have more end product than nice?

Ince - Games 24 Goals 13 Assists 10
Zaha - Games 25 Goals 5 Assists 4

Hi eds,
Good afternoon just heard that Coates going on loan to Qpr till end of season. Have you heard anything ? {Ed001's Note - I haven't, no.}

10 Jan 2013 12:08:37
Ed001 just a quick question mate Ed002 reliably (of course) says Liverpool have shown some interest in Selçuk İnan of Galatasaray just wondering if you had heard the same? knew how serious the interest? or know of any other midfielders being considered?

Cheers mate {Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, sorry.}

10 Jan 2013 12:00:48
Ed, what was the real reason Tom Ince left in the first place, what was the deal that took him to Blackpool and, is it looking likely he'll join us in this window or the Summer transfer window?
I have to say, I've been impressed with BR so far and feel we are moving forward and setting the foundations for the years to come. We're not a million miles away at present and things are improving each game.
The Goatherder
JFT96 {Ed001's Note - he wanted first team football. I don't think it will happen because I can't see us agreeing a deal with Blackpool.}

Ed would blackpools managerial uncertainty have any impact on the deal? Or is Oyston fully in charge, seems like that guy has a problem dealing with us. {Ed002's Note - He wants what is best for teh club. Would you like Liverpool to sell players cheap bcause of some misplaced sentiment?}

10 Jan 2013 11:21:16
I heard a rumour of Coates going to WBA on loan to link up with Steve Clarke again.

Qpr more likely destination, personally can't see why we would loan him out, he's handy.

10 Jan 2013 09:27:11
Leo Baptistao
real interest ed's ? or just more crap from sky for ??
YNWA
jayo {Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, is he at Rayo Vallecano or am I thinking of someone else? Only I know both us and Man Utd have had scouts at their matches this season and people are guessing it is a Brazilian lad being looked at (I think it was him), but I haven't had the chance to chase it up.}

I thought Atletico agreed on a 6 million deal that would see him join in the summer.

Would you be so kind to aske around eds? I'm interested in this one as well :)

JanBorman {Ed001's Note - I have already asked if anyone has more info on who we looked at when we scouted them. Just got to wait on somebody to get back to me now.}

10 Jan 2013 09:11:02
Hi Eds,

Just a quick question, have you heard of any buy out clauses in Suarez/ Sterling new contracts. Something tells me that Suarez could be on the move maybe not this window but defs in the summer.....hope not all the same {Ed001's Note - nope.}

I think he signed a new contract for that reason champs league finish and min release, We may lose him in the summer FSG have no money we aint getting top 4 for years unless we invest and they won't spend much

Im pretty sure Sterling signed a five year deal in December

What's that something delusion

I'm begining to think that moaners like you are hoping our best players have buy out clauses so they'll leave and you can moan even more.

The Plank

Something tells you! Any chance of more details or at least a bit of an explanation.

Dude, do you just come on here everyday to make trouble?! My God you must be an absolute pleasure to your family.

Suarez or Sterling won't be leaving

Absolute rubbish

10 Jan 2013 08:25:02
Eds, any premier league clubs interested in taking coates on loan? If so which ones?
Thanks
L25 {Ed001's Note - not heard of any interest at the moment.}

Qpr even they will go down

Heard a rumour about West Brom maybe interested

After seeing him out jumped by players half his size all afternoon at mansfield i, d be surprised if berwick rangers would even take a look at him.

09 Jan 2013 22:23:32
Ed, Paul ince has come out today and said that he advises tom ince to stay at blackpool and play every week. if he goes to liverpool, man utd or anyone else he will be a bench warmer. do you think paul ince is just saying that or tom ince will sign, has signed, agreed deal or what lol sorry im just lost with it? {Ed002's Note - I expect him to sign.}

Bored with this. We should be aiming higher! Do we need him ?

Paul didn't say that. He said Tom wants to play games so will go to a club where he will get chances. He would play matches at Liverpool so there's no problem.

I have no idea what father Paul has had to say buy if his 20 year old son [ and I've said this before ] is happy to play at a lower level and lacking in the ambition to compete in the EPL then he's not worth signing.

The Plank {Ed001's Note - it's not a case of lack of ambition or being happy to play at a lower level. It is a case of waiting until he is ready to take the opportunity with both hands and make the right move for his future.}

I think Paul Ince is right though. Surely he is not good enough to play every week at LFC and I suspect Paul will be a pain to have around.
CR

If thats the case i would love to know what age was ince when he jumped at the chance to join utd.Has he not got faith in his sons ability as its obvious if your good enough brendan will give his lad a chance it also has to be pointed out this lad has been at liverpool from an early age so everything he was aiming for years for is within his crasp.Tommy Irish Red {Ed001's Note - but the difference is that Liverpool are looking to buy other players and would not intend to use him week in and week out. He first has to establish himself to become a player that is first choice, something Paul thinks he can do by playing elsewhere and improving by playing. You only have to look at the progress Tom made by leaving to realise how right he is and how wrong you are. The lad needs games to improve, he is very unlikely to get enough with us to really take his game forward.}

Aim higher? Like who? All those top players won't come to us. Can't offer them CL football and we are mid table. It's been a couple of season now. Has it not gone through your thick head? I'm quite happy if we get Ince. Future top player.

PI said in his interview that he would prefer his lad stayed to play regularly rather than join a team where he wouldnt get an opportunity to be involved in the 1st team and get playing time. Seems reasonable. Money is not an issue with these guys. He just wants to play football. This was the reason he left in the first place. If he signs and plays well and makes himself undroppable it's a win win for every1 involved. I really don't see where the problem is or what PI has done or said that any other father wouldn't say, Simonpw

Is he any better than Sterling? With all the competition for that third forward spot someone is not going to get many games.
CR

Sterling is a hundred times better than Ince

10 Jan 2013 03:39:22
Ince done by this Friday and jeffen will be in on a loan

10 Jan 2013 00:28:17
Ed002 is Isco likely to sign a new contract with Malaga? {Ed002's Note - Barcelona, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Spurs have shown an interest in Isco and he came close to a move to Dortmund, who may still follow up the matter. Chelsea had someone watch Isco in a recent game against Granada and again very recently. I suspect AC Milan might look to the player as well if he does not move before the summer. There were rumours of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. If they are forced to sell - and they don't want to, I would suspect Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid are best placed right now to push a deal through although Manchester City could well make a bid. A move in January is by no means certain as Malaga are looking to have Isco sign a new long-term contract. Malaga wanted 21M euros and are now negotiating an increase in his release clause to 42M euros using a pay rise to tempt the player to agree - but they do fear a move for the player this month.}

09 Jan 2013 22:25:43
Ed, how come there is no interest in Abate (AC milan) from us? We want to replace downing and enrique or least just move enrique up the pitch and i think Abate is class he tore up Arsenal last season in the champions league so why are we not moving for a player like that especially when AC are looking to off load him.

I am happy with the sturridge signing. finally i think we have a really potent strike force, suarez on his own was great but at times you could sense that he needed someone up there with him and now finally we have someone and they have qaulity and experience.

Keep up the amazing work {Ed002's Note - Liverpool's interest is elsewhere.}

Abate is a Right Back, we have Johnson who is better and kelly wisdom flanno and Mclaughlin as back up, we probably won't need to buy a RB for years.

Why waste what litte money we have on someone we don't need?

K-Man

Abate plays down the right for milan and a natural right footer unless your looking to switch Johnson to left back it makes no sense.

Trav
