Long time reader, first time post but I would like to address an issue that is rife on this page and in football generally. "Fans" want something all the time, "fans" want new players, they want young players brought through, they want proven talent, they want old players brought back, they want marquee signings, they don't want to pay over the odds, they don't want to pay high wages, they want undiscovered gems - these "fans" just want and want and want all the time.
The same "fans" say that the modern player is greedy and just plays for the money - that may be true for some but surely it is just mirroring the "fans" blatant and unashamed GREED. What do the "fans" expect of players and managers and owners when it is the "fans" who fundamentally control the game and are so greedy (no fans, no games, no players).
I think this is a great site but would it really do any harm over Xmas to have one day when real fans would just support their team, their players, their staff and their owners. We all remember the glory days but just maybe if we the FANS of LIVERPOOL FC stood together and showed our love for and appreciation of our club the players/manager/owners they might appreciate that we are all on the same side and LIVERPOOL FC would be the stronger for it.
I know this won't go down well with some posters and some eds but for h**k sake, give the bitching and moaning a break and drop the GREED and you just might get what your hearts really desire.
