I have a feeling i'll be shot down for this, but I really think (no really!) that we should think about brining James Milner in. He manages to get better every year, even though he seems to get less and less playing time. He changes games and right now, we don't have anyone on the bench who can do that. I know he's perhaps a little older for the $10m or so he might cost, but I think he'd be a VERY good acquisition for us.

What a result today. Skertalator was immense, absolutely immense. I know he's sometimes accident prone, but I have to ask, why are we trying to offload him? Having more competition for places will improve his concentration, motivation and desire. I Know we are in the middle of more defensive signings, but he has been a warrior for us and I for one, will be sorry to see him go. So I have to ask, have we received offers for him?
Secondly, I heard from a contact within FSG that there IS a possibility that the right offer for Suarez is coming from RM (46-48m). While I appreciate we have done well without Suarez, we have relied on DS for goals and our coverage is pretty light. Aspas looked little lost today, but would he move into the strikers role if DS is injured? Just wondering what the game plan might be.
Thirdly - hendo looks like a totally different player this season - long may it continue.
Finally, thanks for all your hard work Eds. We'd be lost without you. At least you will get a break after tomorrow!
Best start since 1994! YNWA!,!!

whooooaaaaa. what is going on? keep hearing people who are mathmeticians highlighting income from sales and wage savings, compared to acquisitions/loans and wages and it doesn't matter how you spin it, we have not spent a penny so far (I'm talking net/net).
There's the large sponsorships, new short deal, more TV money then previously and a huge savings on our debt interest.
Its great hearing we're 'going to be trying to make a couple of signings', but time's running out and we're being outspent by the likes of Norwich. We HAVE TO GET INTO THE TOP 4 THIS SEASON - with the players we have compared to our top four competition, how on earth are we expecting to compete. Love the club, but am really concerned about what is going on behind the doors. bring on Sunday!

last night, for the first time in a long time, I wasn't thinking 'we're going to blow it' in extra time, like we potentially would have done last season - personally, for me, that's a big step in the right direction.
Injuries happen, there's nothing we can do about that, but 'steel' in the team is something that was missing last season, that seems to be there this season. I believe that when our backs are against the wall, BR has found a way to get more out of the team - I'm proud of the way we put two more past them last night in XT. With that said, this weeks game against MU will be electric. It looks like the Skertallator will be back in for the game, with Wisdom and Kelly providing backup. I think Skrtel will surprise us all with a strong performance this weekend, he is desperate to get back into the side. hendo is on fire at the moment, SG always plays well against the mancs and sturridge is in the form of his life. If moyes goes with vidic and rio as his 2 CBs, I can see our front three doing some damage.
bring on sunday! YNWA!

so atsu looks like he is heading to Chelsea for 3-4m. Weren't we quoted something like 6-7m for him? Seems like the 'big' clubs are in a position to get cheaper deals done and we are not! Not sure why we are not in the loop with Atsu - he fits the FSG and BR mould and looks like an exciting, fast, tricky player who would provide much needed pace out wide.
