with balotelli close to signing, thought I would give my opinion on few things. I think our 4 strikers for this season will be sturridge ballotelli lambert and ETOO, I think etoo will be a one year deal until origi is back for next season which would make sense, he might be a short term player but if he gets played in the cups he will score and do a job. I believe borini will then leave to probably sunderland I don't see italian sides paying what sunderland have offered although he would prefere italy. I really want us to sign young roberts from fulham even if we loan him back out, he is a great prospect and if we sign him for a few million and he flops his resale value won't be a huge loss although I believe he will be an excellent future player.
i think rodgers would like another midfielder depending on sales and could easily see lucas moving on as the funds are there.
i also think if agger leaves we may look at another cb also coates and toure leave, we aren't really linked with defenders but if agger leaves I would like one in.
i think another keeper will be signed as jones isn't good enough, but also think other deals could happen. by the end of this window we will have a genuine strong squad, unlike rafa's squad were we would have voronin, jovanvic ngon penannt, to fill in the squad we have quality throughout, and we also have a lot of player who can play atleast 2 positions if needed, I don't know what rodgers has planned but the future looks very bright, in rodgers we trust!

not a rumour just a few things on my mind, i'm thinking we have johnson, enrique, flanno, kelly, robinson, soon manquillo and moreno, that's 7 full backs who should we keep? I think moreno will be starting left back, but for me flanno is miles ahead of johnson currently, kelly still need fitness but I still feel flanno is a better option, personaly I would have flanno with manquillo as back up and moreno with robinson as back if we aren't going to sign a rb.
at centre back I could see atleast two leaving, we can't keep sktrel agger sakho and lovren and keep them all happy, I've got a feeling agger will leave and ilori will go out on loan as toure isn't going unfortunately and coates will be given until january I think.
midfield is okay, I really like coutinho henderson and gerrard as a midfield 3, coutinho is brilliant at finding passes and has a good workrate, henderson is a must in our midfield and could possible take over captaincy after gerrard retires. we don't really need to sign anyone else but if someone was to leave I would love vidal in our midfield, can will be excellent in a few years but for now vidal would add alot!
then forward i'm worried already, I like the 4-4-2 diamond we played last season but I think it might take too long for sturridge and a new striker to really build on what sturridge and suarez had, but if we don't when sturridge gets injured we are looking weak upfront lambert hasn't looked upto it in pre season and borini I just don't think is good enough and should leave for 14 million, I think we will play 4-3-3 with markovic sterling and sturridge up top, lallana will probably come in for markovic and then be brought into the squad as the season goes on like sterling last year. I think after we sign moreno and manquillo we need at assess the players who are leaving and act quickly and sign replacements and another striker and then another also if borini leaves

any update on glen johnson's situation eds? I read one thing about him not being offered a contract due to his massive wages and another about him not being happy about a one year extension deal? can you shed any light on this please.

just my thoughts on a few recent transfers rumours:
adam lallana - I would love to see this happen but in my opinion I just can't see us paying 25 million for him.

benatia - I think this is idealy what we need a commanding cb at the side of either agger/sakho/skrtle, sell one of them, have ilori wisdom as back up sorted. I don't think it will happen as their are too many big teams with more money interested.

william carvalho - never heard of him until the rumour that man united had agreed a 37 million pound deal, rumours are that since moyes was sacked their interest has been dropped but 30 million still seems a lot of money for an unproven 22 year old.

javier mascherano - ino he is available and rumours are that he's available for 9-12 million pound, personaly I think if his wages aren't too high that this would be a great move for the club, ino people say remember what he did when he left, to be fair he had ambition and wanted the barcelona move, I think he would an improvement on lucas.

alex song - I've seen rumours he's available for 10 million euros i'm assuming that around 8 million pound, and if this is true then just sign him, from his arsenal days he looked a great played good tackler and also a very good passer. gerrard WILL get injured eventual next year with all the games we have and alex song would fantastic.

konoplyanka - I really wished we had signed him in january, he tracks back from what I've seen of him for ukraine, he made kyle walker look stupid and scores goals, aslong as the figure is around 12 million with a few add ons then he would be a good buy.

micah richards - I think he would be a good addition to defence for 5 million pound no more, he can play rb/cb but tbh I think I would rather use wisdom as back up if johnson stays and save the money he's been fantastic for derby.

will hughes - I think he's one of the english talents to watch along with barkley, he is a quality player again just the price 7 million would be good business as even if he flopped in 3 years time there wouldn't be much of a decline in a sell on price.

suarez to madrid 60 mil plus benzema - I think suarez wants to stay personaly from what he's said, but if he does leave I would rather him join madrid than chelsea or city, but I wouldn't want benzema from his time at madrid he didn't work well with higuain, I would rather take di maria or carvahal and varane for defence.

coutinho to chelsea - just no

im interested in what loans we have to bring back with, ilori, wisdom, SUSO, borini I would bring them into the squad and sell caotes and assaidi and reina.

with the 60 million if we brought in lallana 20 mil, song/masch 8-10 mil, benatia 22 mil, richards 5 mil. that's 55 million, with coates assaidi reina agger/skrtle johnson lucas aspas and enrique sold also to invest in a second gk lb and kono and a striker I would be happy for next season, 2 good keepers, solid defence, midfield with world class players competing for positions, attacking forwards in coutinho lallana kono and suso, and sas and borini and a replacement for useless aspas!
