I'm seeing a lot of posters talking about bringing in yet more players to the club to sort out our issues. Playing devils advocate here the players signed have been good/great players for their respective clubs with potential to shift up a few gears with the right mentoring/training and coaching. These 3 seem to be sadly lacking so my question is
Instead of looking at what sticking plasters Rogers can buy - Is he looking within the clubs training regime and coaches to get the right people in to bring our players on?

I love it when managers talk about resting players and needing a big squad - Brendan now has a big squad and finally used it tonight by dropping our 'big names' (or big earners). Remember when we won the double and played only 14 players all season. Now they were real players. Used to tackle properly but fair. The fullbacks used to come at you like butchers dogs and if they caught you right you'd be in the back of the stand. They were probably on next to no money as well. True greats!

Not so much a rumour, more a transfer question.
I read a 'Eds reply' the other day regarding rogers and how he's messed a lot players around. What players were you referring to? ilori, Luis Alberto, Suso and the like?
What are is opinions of these players which I assumed he wanted / scouted / bought. Most when given an opportunity have shown glimpses of talent but don't seem to be getting a good opportunity.
I do feel Can will develop like Lucas. He turned himself round at liverpool and became a great player shame that his injury has either wrecked his confidence or physically finished him off.
Do you know or have incite as to how the Anfield higher powers react to how rogers treats these players?

Ok i'm going on my high horse about player contracts. Sterling signed a new contact last year and now he looks like he's going to get another one based on his performances. Player power and all that but enough is enough.
I really do suggest that FIFA/Clubs take a strong stand on contracts or scrap them and go to a draft system.
I'd have whacked a £100m buyout clause on sterling and said that once he'd signed his contract there'll be no further negotiaions till there are 18-24 months left on the contract. If another club want you and want to give you 100k a week then there is a buyout clause for them to do so. Or you the player can buy out the remainder of your contract.
You were happy with 35k last year and you signed it for 5 years so its tough!
A couple of good games and clubs are being held to ransom.
I'm sick of it now like. I appreciate this isn't a well articulated arguement but its early!

Been a while since i've posted but i'm i'm to remain posiive but pick faults.
I think we've bought well but it is difficult to gel so many diverse players all at once. It has to be one/two at a time and the process should be a lot easier.
Who was the the defence coach when Dalgliesh took over - he went on to West Brom. We need him back on the coaching staff. Brilliant defence coach.
Is it me or when our players control the ball does it seem to be popping up in the air like miscontrolling it? there's been no crisp passing displays.
We were good v Everton but unlucky. We need to up the work rate and Steve nailed his interview yesterday. No Hunger. I'm not a steve g hater and I want him to keep going but i'd give him a stronger role on the motivation side. Player Assistant manager for me. Last night was his best interview i've seen.
YNWA Liverpool - it will come together. We probably over achieved last season but hey, everyone needs a bit of luck and with the CL money and Suarez money we're ok! I'd have kept Agger though.
Haway rogers. Get the best out of the players who are all yours now!
