Having read the posts from today and seen the papers pick up the (rather wooly) story of us talking to Ancelotti. I just can't see it happening at all.
I just don't think we can attract that calibre of manager anymore. I think we will end up with another 'up and coming' manager. Not what we need!

If Stoke (no disrespect) can attract the most Champions League medal winners, Liverpool should be able to attract a high level manager. It will depend on what we are willing to pay to bring them in and what the club can offer.
A Guardiola would be out as rebuilding a club is not quite his forte, he has a track record with tweaking successful teams, however there is a lot of money in the EPL compared to other leagues, so we should in theory be able to provide a good pay day.
