The injury to couthinio and the result against Southampton has m ade evident the severe lack of depth in the squad as far as and attacking creative midfielder is concerned and should be the next area to be addresses.
One question for you Ed, we've all seen Gerrard perform at legendary status in the past in that attacking mid field role, I understand he is now being played deeper but with an injury like this why can't Rodgers put him in that role behind the striker and put joe allen or even Henderson or alberto in the deep laying role?
If we could pick any team we wanted to play away in the league we would pick sunderland at the moment. So hope we can get the three points there and then against palace and prove this to be a minor blimp.
Win against united would make my day, time to see which team bounces back better. {Ed001's Note - because he no longer has the drive, power and pace to burst through like he once did.}

Hello eds and fellow reds.
So the transfer window is closed and like most red fans I am also happy with the signing and very excited about the league position (although top 4 is still the realistic target)
Wanted to get everyones opinion on how the squad will be used in the coming season and how versatile are our new players.
With so many center backs in the squad now I think BR might be thinking of playing a 3-5-2 formation with Johnson or Kelly and Enrique or cissoko as wing back and Sakho, Agger and Toure as are CB. This would give us good width
Also which players do you think can play in different positions? I believe cissoko can play left wing and sakho can play lb as well but what about the rest of them?
Can toure and Ilori pay as a CDM? and are also cover players for lucas?
What does everyone think?

Hey eds, so not that we have sakho and llori in what's the future of skertl? do we know of any offers for him cause i'm sure he's on his way out, and more importantly will he play tomorrow and when does the Italian transfer window close? as he's linked to napoli {Ed002's Note - An offer from Napoli was rejected so they started looking elsewhere. They could make another offer as could Zenit. As you know the windows are now shutting - Portugal has gone, Scotland goes tonight. We'll see.}
