Eds, not necessarily Liverpool related, but has a wage cap been explored as an alternative to FFP, by FIFA or any other body? Would it "level the playing field" in terms of allowing greater and fairer competition between teams when it comes to transfers and attracting talent? Is it even a viable option or would it never be considered?
{Ed002's Note - No. Firstly it is well beyond the remit of FIFA or UEFA and secondly how would you apply it to nations which have a significantly different economic profile (Romania, China, England, Uganda, etc.). Where salary caps have been applied it is by local FAs and is generally works on the basis of the salaries not exceeding x% of the income each club has. That helps the wealthy clubs and does not give any sort of level playing field. FFP has a restriction on salary growth and is perhaps fairer.}

Eds and reds! I've just finished work, but saw before the match that Skrtel and Lovren were starting again and knew we'd lose. (sorry) They're aweful. My question: Is there any consideration following our recent results and performances by Michael Gordon and FSG that might result ins premature performance review
{Ed001's Note - not right now there is nothing, but it is down to Gordon to make the decision, so there is unlikely to be any warning.}
