As a rational man with a cool head, this past few weeks have tested my non-belief in all things superstitious. I find myself thinking back to previous matches, trying to remember what I was wearing, what I had for breakfast and which side of the street I walked down when we won. I'm even dreaming about upcoming games now (we beat Chelsea 2-1 in my dream last night, but we were playing with a huge, oversized 'fun' ball. ) come on boys, show me that my walk down the left hand side of the road in my red shoes after eating a banana for breakfast isn't in vain.
On a separate note, this year has been extra special as I became a full time carer for my father, the man who introduced me to the beauty of Liverpool football club as a child, we have spent many a joyous afternoon this year watching us rise to the top. I can honestly say it's been very special for lots of reasons.

As a lifelong supporter of this wonderful club, I'm shocked and ashamed by the way a section of our 'support' behaves sometimes. Lots of abusive messages being sent to Linda pizzuti today on twitter in response to her praising the passion of our support in Indonesia. It's disgusting that people behave this way, and in my opinion, will get all they deserve should the current owners sell up. Be careful what you wish for trolls.

I'm sending a powerful ESP message to Brendan Rodgers. 'Play suso in the CAM role and buy Gary medel'. If he looks a little vacant on the training ground this week you'll know it's working

A message specifically for Waro. Instead of the constant negative rhetoric, please explain to us all the following:- had you taken over the club after the H+G era, how would you have gone about rebuilding the club? Who would you rather have as manager currently? Who, in an ideal world, would you sign this summer? If you had taken over as manager yourself instead of Rodgers, how would you have gone about trimming a bloated squad on high wages better than he has? Also, what do you see as the best way this current Liverpool set up could get back to the top of the tree in the premier league and Europe? Answers on a postcard.

The start of this close season has so far been pretty interesting and exciting, a decent free signing in Toure, a couple of exciting potential signings in Aspas and luis Alberto, and the exciting thought that with the money from Suarez we can really push on and increase the general quality of the squad to get us back in the top four. But today's news about Benteke has somewhat dimmed that excitement. In my opinion, this guy is no player, physical and powerful yes, but skilful and tricky? No. The players we've been linked with (navas, Muriel etc) are all exciting, tricky players, capable of scoring and creating goals from nothing, not unlike Suarez, but Benteke has none of this. I've no doubt that Aston villa will fleece us aswell once they know we have money in the bank. I'm a great believer in Rodgers, I think we are on the right road to success again, but Benteke would set us back in my opinion, so please Brendan, spend that money elsewhere.
