A tough defeat to a soft Celtic side but I do agree with the real AG that we have had a great pre-season but we do have to remember that allthough pre-season is good for confidence it is the start of the season that counts. On another point because it is so close to the start of the season we need to put Luis Suarez to the back of our minds and concentrate fully on the team, our reacent signings and the new signings to come. First time I've asked the Eds this but Rumours this morning that Mascherano might be looking back to Anfield as he might be subject to requirements at Barca, any truth in this? Allthough he is a great player I don't no if I want someone playing for us who refuses to wear the great shirt and basically spat on our fans, plus if we did sign him it would have to be for a low fee considering he is 29, any thoughts?

Final game of the pre season today against celtic, a final win and a clean sheet would be a great end to the pre season, start with a strong side with sturridge up front. A good win today would set us up well for our first game against Stoke, I have big faith that the pairing of Courtinho and Sturridge and with an addition of Iago Aspas up there, what I have seen of him he will add speed skill and can also create room for himself as I saw against Valarenga, my brother in law also made the comment of a likeness to Torres the way he created space but I don't think he will be as prolific as Torres was in front of goal. Final thing to say before the match is I hear Luis Suarez is going to come out an apologise to the fans and the club for his actions, the way I see it Fabragas done that, RVP done that, Rooney done that and he looks to be on his way out. Unless you go out on to that pitch and give 100% of heart and passions for that beautiful badge which will get us into the champions league then I don't see myself going out and putting Suarez on the back of my shirt. Iago Aspas stopped a family holiday to fly to Liverpool to sign a deal, to me that is commitment because he realises how big of a club Liverpool are, My final comment will be a congrats to Daniel Agger on becomeing vice captain, true loyalty and commitment to a club, but other fans wanted you gone to barca, in my recent comment I wrote how I never saw him going as he has done nothing but show commitment and loyalty to our club even getting YNWA on his hand the same as I have the badge on my arm. If anyone isn't getting the message here, players with LOYALTY, COMMITMENT AND PASSION, if you don't have that then you don't deserve to have these wonderfull fans chant your name:-) Love this website lol

Just reading on ssn that John W henry has said that Luis Suarez will not be sold for any price, in my eyes a man is only as good as his word, if a man shakes another mans hand it is an agreement that he will not go back on as he shows dignity and pride within himself, Luis Suarez should honour his contract with Liverpool, If you keep going the way your going you will just end up like Carlos Tevez and Mario Balloteli getting froze out and hated by the people that used to chant your name, Go into a room by yourself and just think of what you are actually doing and how you are turning every red man, women and child against you, Think yourself lucky that you are pulling on the same shirt as the likes of Kenny Daglish, Ian Rush, John Alldridge, Peter Beadsley, Ian Callaghan, Jan Molby, kevin Keegan and more recently Robbie Fowler, Jamie Carragher and the prolific Steven Gerrard.You have a lot of making up to do. Now thinking of the start of the season against stoke, playing stoke won't be like the past few years as Tony Pulis was so defensivly minded it was nearly impossible to be able to play your own football but with Mark Hughes in charge who knows what blunders he will have put into the team, plus with Luis Suarez out I have full confidence in the pairing of Courtinho playing in behind the new Didier Drogba - Daniel Sturridge. Power, Strength, Speed and Confidence the more more important attributes in a striker:-) Thoughts fellow Reds

Reading on ssn, and it fills me with pride when you hear Brendan Rodgers chata about showing respect for a great club, and having honour, what I say is you should play for the fans who chanted your name through a racism and biting accusation, children around Liverpool and the world with suarez wrote on the back of there shirts, peoples dreams are to see you walk out in anfield and play for the badge that we love, respect and honour. What I will say Luis is you will end up like Torres, Mascherano and michale owen. All players who we loved and wished we could be. Why can't these players be like Steven Gerrad and Jamie Carragher who showed loyalty through out there whole carrears. Them two will not be remembered for winning the premier league but they will be remembered for being two of the greatest proffessionals of all time and will go down in history as legends who wore the shirt. Something you will never achieve. My only other point I will make is people saying about buying another centre back, take a look at Martin Skrtel a player who was our player of the year two years ago, big strong fast an amazing addition to our team, if it was me i'd be getting behind my current player who is amazing before looking elsewere. Anyone who wants to comment on this is more than free to :-)
