Hey eds just read that we were linked to FC Porto defender Abdoulaye Ba. (This means nothing to me because who haven't we been linked with?!) But do you ladies/gents know if this report has any substance?

Personally think we should just go get Sakho, Alderwierled, or Ilori. Not sure when or how this fella came into the picture.

Hi eds just wanted to shoot some transfer questions at yas!

1st one on my mind is: Have Liverpool shown any interest in Adem Ljajic? I know Athletico and Milan were interested and I'm aware he'd only cost around 12m. I watched a few Viola matches last year and he happened to catch my eye more so than Jovetic did. He's capable of playing on the left or up the middle and he's within our price range.

Secondly, with Chelseas squad looking way too deep and with Willian likely to join. Is there any possibility LFC could look to bring in Lukaku or De Bruyne on loan? Would be a great move to take either of them on loan for a year IMO.

Also, I think it's obvious we will be bringing in a CB. Question is who will we go after? Seems we have to pick from Mamadou Sakho (My first choice and a bargain for 10m), Thiago Ilori, and Toby Alderwiereld. I think if the manager feels Skrtel has no future at the club we should sell him for 10-12m and quickly replace him with Sakho. And now that Coates has picked up a lengthy injury we should then sign Ilori to replace him. I think a lot of these scenarios make sense for the club. Sorry for the essay. Just feeling a bit anxious with only a little over a week left in the window.

If not a new contract will be signed with Fiorentina - which is what the club wants. (b) I wouldn't think there is any chance at all. If Willian joins it will be at the expense of Victor Moses. (c) People are likely getting well ahead of themselves with Sakho. I have explained the situation - and price wise you are miles away from what PSG have asked Napoli to pay. The club rejected Napoli's offer and they have now moved on to look at alternatives to Skrtel.}

Hey eds just read that Napoli has agreed a deal with Cagliari for CB Davide Astori. Does this end speculation that Skrtel will be leaving? (At least to Naples)

With Kolo Toure looking solid I wouldn't mind just keeping Skrtel as cover in my opinion. This would mean we might not look to sign another CB and allow us to focus on other areas. I think Willian is a real potential now and I hear Cissokho is as good as done pending a medical. Amazing win yesterday. Went mental when Simon made that double save. let's go reds! Hi eds are there any teams interested in Romain Alessandrini? I seem to be fascinated with him and some of the goals he scores. He had 13 in 26 for Rennes also which is quality. Thanks! {Ed002's Note - Romain Alessandrini was subject to a bid from Marseille and it has been thaought that perhaps a bidwould come from Genoa. Marseille were hopeful that they can complete a deal although he has had injury concerns. Right now there is nothing going on with him.}

Well, Roma have announced the sale of Lamela to Spuds and announced the signing of Adem Ljajic from Fiorentina.

Great business in my opinion. Sold for 30m. Bought a quality player for 11m.

Come on Liverpool.

I seriously do not understand how people think getting Moses is a good idea. All he will do is take away chances from Ibe and Sterling. They are both just as good as Moses as well. It makes absolutely no sense. If the club were interested in Moses they should've bought him before he went off to rot at Chelsea. We need someone who is sure to get us goals/assists and someone who is an established player. If we go to Chelsea for anything I'd hope it'd be to push hard for Mata. Brendan is cool with Mou right? We have around 30 mill to spend right? (We must if we were in for Willian) We've done business with each other before right? So if we want to push on, we should move for a player like Mata.

Now I know, for whatever reason people see this as an impossible deal. But I don't see why it couldn't happen. If Mou doesn't rate Mata (their player of the year mind you) then we should put our chips in for him and I think they'd accept it if he's not in Mous plans. Sure we aren't in the champions league! But we can offer him a starting job week in week out and I feel like a player like Mata just wants to play football! He wants ro be in the world cup squad. I really like him he's not overly flamboyant or anything. And we are definitely a team that can reach the UCL this season with a few more quality buys. So there's plenty of good reasoning to joing LFC (not to mention the best fans in the universe)

There are many more players out there than just victor Moses. Come on LFC don't disappoint!

Sup eds. Curious if you have any info regarding Dusan Tadic of FC Twente. Not only from Liverpool (because I don't think there is any interest from us) but are any other teams interested in this player at all? Much love. Much appreciated.

FFS is everyone on the "lets sign Victor Moses" train?

If we were to sign him I would've liked it to happen when he was a Wigan player. I always said we should move for him back then. But now?! I think that would be a huge waste of whatever funds we have. I thought were trying to make a marquee signing? (20m+) as much as I still think he's a decent player, Sterling and Ibe can produce just as much as Moses can!

I'd rather Ben Arfa > Moses.

And quite honestly I'd prefer someone better than the both of them. Why not inquire for Juan Mata? Mou is starting the same BS he did at Real and has it out for Mata it seems like. I don't think UCL football would be a factor for Mata. I think he wants to play every week and secure a place for the World Cup. However. this also seems very unlikely!

So why not make a move for any of the following players: Antoine Griezmann, Jackson Martinez, Arda Turan, Lorenzo Insigne, Georginio Wijnaldum, Leandro Damiao, Carlos Vela, Clement Grenier.

I could probably pick out a few more if I gave it more thought. But regardless. We've got to splash some cash on a top attacker! Some of these targets would be harder to acquire than others obviously but I'm just throwing ideas out there. Our team is not far off: we need to spend the money on an attacker and a CB and our business is settled.

I was watching an episode of bein Liverpool the other day and one of the lads on there said: "Faith can move mountains". So keep the faith. YNWA

I hope these rumors of Gustavo to Arsenal aren't true. He is a great player and such a presence in defense. If only Liverpool would put all their chips in for him! (I know it won't be happening though) hopefully he doesn't move to the EPL and goes to Wolfsburg or elsewhere!
