Hi eds

As you've been saying for a while, the Echo claim we've had a bid rejected for Lovren. However, they say Southampton are 'refusing to negotiate' or something like that. In your experience, what does this mean? Is it perhaps Koeman wants to get to know his players first before he can judge how much he would accept for him?

Also, I know I asked this a couple of weeks ago- but have we renewed interest recently in any centre backs other than Lovren? Finally, are reports that we are close to signing Bertrand accurate or premature-ie we have not bid yet?

Any truth in the rumours in 'Bild' linking us with Lars Bender? I think he would be a great signing personally.

Has anyone shown an interest in Schalke centre back Benedikt Howedes?
Also, do you know of any players Liverpool have earmarked as a possible alternative to Dejan Lovren?
Finally, has anyone showed any interest in Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in Howedes at this time. I suspect Liverpool are considering their CB options still. I would not think Iturraspe would be going anywhere.}

Hi eds,

Obviously, as with any deal, there is a chance that the Moreno deal will not happen- so are there any left backs that we have recently declared interest in (other than Bertrand)?

I know in the past you have mentioned interest in Blind and Rojo but we haven't really pushed for a deal/moved onto other targets.

Annoyed my last post didn't get up but I understand that you don't like people talking about money.

Has anyone showed any interest (recently) in Matt Ryan, the young Australian 'keeper? I've only watched him a few times but every time I do his kicking blows me away.

Anyone, is it true that Danny Agger broke down in tears in front of the squad on the tour after he asked Rodgers if he could leave? If it's true then it really does echo how much the guy loves the club and the years he has spent here.

Hope Macca's right and we sign Bony- not many people on here seem to realise how talented he is and just see him as a big number nine- he is in fact mobile and excellent with his feet- I think he would be perfect. Bony & Moreno to finish the window and I would say it's been a successful summer.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I could've sworn a post was put up late night on rumours, about Alberto Moreno, and it was swiftly taken down, after one of the Eds replied something like, 'Negotiations are not ongoing', or something from the same mould.

{Ed002's Note - All it was for someone asking if Liverpool are "locked in negotiations" for Moreno. They are not - the situation has been explained about the money and the problem the club has to make a decision over.}
