Hi eds ad reds. Ed02 I think? You posted spuds have no issues re ffp but I am baffled as to how? We have 10000 aprox extra capacity have some of the highest kit / shirt sponsor deals ever done in the league have removed most high earners from our playing staff and barring managerial change costs which were used to explain losses (and which spud have also recently had to pay out) have not had many massive outlays with spuds paying a min 10% extra on players we have chased scouted and been gazumped on! How are we any worse off than they are if they have no issues and why are we so reluctant to dip an extra couple of million ( laughable how million are banded about I know) to secure 1st choice targets rather than continually missing out? Not having a go just want some enlightenment on how they seem to be in a better position and manage to out spend us when we are chasing the same players? I know we have previously ha bad owners an ba deals fOr players ala carrol but how long realistically will it take for us to compete in the transfer Market? Spuds have not got cl and have not had constant runs in the competitions so dint see that as the shirtfall

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the FFP rules in detail and don't want to open up the turnover issues of the clubs again (Spurs are well run and pretty much self funding; Liverpool are fighting back to get to being self funding after sustaining massive losses in recent years). But look at the transfer fees alone. The two previous years that count toward FFP sees that Liverpool has a net spend of more than £87M and Spurs has made a profit on transfers of about £25M. This summer will probably see Spurs break even again after they sell Bale and bring in what I expect to be three more players.}

Hi fellow reds, I for one waited patiently for a 'board' update all day Thursday from London_red. Maybe he will post today that luis is going to be forced to train alone lol! I've heard strong rumours from inside the club that the cyan toner is almost out in Ian ayres office printer and there I a shortage of waiters in the board room biscuit selection! . Keep smiling reds its going to be an interesting season!
