I readily admit I am no footie expert but does anyone out there feel we still need a Mascherano style player who will help to lock out the game when we are up and coasting? Stevie is magnificent in this position but with age etc would it be best to get in a die-hard defensive midfielder who will put his body on the line for the last 20 mins? Or when we come up against a Man City someone to defensively press the likes of Silva & Jovetic who make runs in from angles?
Whilst I love our all attacking style of play, sometimes I feel, especially after the Crystal Palace game last season, that we could do with a fresher sharper defensive midfielder to come on to to help close the game out. Especially with the amount of games we have this season.
Someone mentioned that Can can do this but that would be playing him out of position? Someone like Song on loan would be a good recruit?
Come on the reds, it will be a great win today!

I really hope that if we sign Ballo that its not the start of BR's downfall. No question the kid has got talent but he is definitely a few fries short of a happy meal!
If BR can turn him around then no question BR is the master of man-management. If he can't then I just hope that its Mario that takes the fall not BR.
Mario won't care if it doesn't work out he will go onto another club and get paid fortunes where we could be left with the disaster that he generally leaves trailing behind him!
There's a village somewhere looking for an person like Mario, just hope Liverpool is not the place that Mario is looking to bring all his rubbish too!
Mario if you do come bring your football ability - leave the issues in Italy!
