I find it absolutely staggering that a post earlier, that read "Luis Suarez has renewed his box at Anfield. Hopefully a clear indication that he has no intentions to leave" has managed to accumulate 32 "Believable's". Posting this kind of rubbish is unhelpful, as you're source of information is probably your cousin's, best mate's cat.
What we know from reputable sources within the media is that we have accepted a bid of 15m from West Ham for Carroll and that we are interested in Kolo Toure and Papadapoulos of Schalke. Personally I think Toure would add PL experience to the squad and providing we get him on a free, would be a good addition. Acquiring the services of Papadapoulos, in my opinion, would be a great signing in the long run, provided he can stay fit.
There have also been rumours of Eriksen coming in form Ajax. I've watched a lot of Dutch League football this year and the kid is an enormous talent. He has quality in abundance, is technically sound and is the kind of creative player we are looking to add to our squad. However, I do have my concerns. Eriksen would create a slight selection headache. I love Coutinho playing through the middle and would be worried that bringing in Eriksen would force Coutinho out wide, with Eriksen taking up the spaces that Coutinho loves to run into.
We're certainly in for an exciting summer, hopefully we will manage to complete any deals relatively early to allow any new players a decent pre-season.
