Directing this towards YNWAdam after reading your post the other week about us being better without playing Gerrard & Lucas together. Was just wondering what your thoughts were on yesterday's game as you always provide a worthy insight. Did you see an improvement in the team & with Gerrard essentially taking up Lucas' role do you still feel that he would be better utilised as an impact sub? Cheers

CB partnership vs Swansea should be Agger & Skrtel. Martin put in a MOTM performance against Utd, & has earned his place for the next game. Our other CBs have to just be ready to step up when one of these two gets injured, suspended or is out of form (just as Skrtel was for when Toure got injured). In terms of RB, it's a shame about Johnson but Wisdom done a decent job coming on against Utd & has been waiting for his chance in the first team. Kelly is no doubt a better RB in my opinion but whether or not he's fully fit is another question, & to just put him in ahead of Wisdom would probably not go down too well with the lad. Remember I'm only talking about our next match here against Swansea & I myself would hope to see Martin Kelly regularly playing RB whilst Johnson is out.

Bit gutted about missing out on Willian, but if we bring in Damiao or Turan who are the touted back ups I could actually see it working out better for us.

I know it's a bit late but my MOTM was definitely Lucas. Sometimes his work goes unnoticed & you could argue that he won us the game with that clearance off the line. He wasn't afraid to get stuck in which was good to see, & I actually wanted him to give that Nzonzi a good dig as well.

In the games that Suarez has appeared so far in pre-season, he just doesn't look interested. Frankly, with that attitude I'm really not fussed if he goes, & I don't see why anyone else should be. Open to thoughts!
