For Christmas 2012-13 I was bought the latest Liverpool shirt at the time. I wore the shirt almost every time I watched us play and as you may remember our results picked up dramatically from january last year. To this date we have never lost whilst I wear this shirt and watch a match of ours. Given its lucky charm, I didn't want the run to end and became reluctant to wear it in case we lost. Today, I felt it was time for it to come back out - and it didn't let me down.

On the game: I see a lot of negativity towards the performance, but I feel we should focus on the positives. We are the only team to have put 5 goals past stoke at the britannia in premier league history. As long as we keep out scoring our opponents, who cares how many we concede? Onwards and upwards, let's hope for a big three points next week!

Coutinho out until late october.

Thank god Suarez comes back next week. We're looking pretty stupid now with our failed bids for mkhitaryan, costa and willian and not moving for eriksen. Left us with no cover for CAM.

Loving all these posts about 'are we on the spurs page' and criticizing everyone about talking about them. The reason we are worried is because they are our competition for 4th and they are now leagues ahead of us. With ffp coming in this year I think we could see a cemented top 4 for years to come, and guess what. we're not in it!

Can't wait to see what all these optimists that are happy with our current squad have to say when we find ourselves dropping off the pack.

We need quality reinforcements and fast of we're to get anywhere. It's ridiculous how you're writing all spurs signings off as mediocre. we'd be over the moon with even one of those players.

I don't know why everyone is so desperate to get in a new CB. Whilst I agree sakho would be an excellent signing, who would you replace him for at the moment? With Agger and Kolo filling the two first team CB slots and Skrtel and Kelly as back ups I'm more than happy.

What worries me more is the fact we are seriously lacking in the LAM and RAM positions. Aspas is an excellent player in my opinion but who else do we really have that plays out wide? At the moment we're having to accommodate by putting Coutinho out wide and henderson through the middle. The back ups are sterling and ibe who are both only 18 years old. still a few years shy from being first team regulars. One or two more attacking wide players are a must in my opinion.

Arda Turan would be ideal and if we signed him and the transfer window closed I'd be a happy man. But I guess we'll have to wait and see, just worried we will be left short. especially if Suarez leaves.

Look, we weren't that bad against celtic but I think it's obvious to all of us we need that bit more quality to break down teams. We've hardly depleted our transfer funds at all this summer whilst spurs have been throwing money all over the place strengthening their team considerably.

If we're still aiming to get top 4 we need to start spending a bit more to slot another 2 or 3 players into that first team.

For me Eriksen is a must: no one wants him at the moment so why not just come in with a 15 million pound bid? There is no doubt he'd strengthen our team. A midfield of eriksen lucas and gerrard then push coutinho out wide. Eriksen could even switch with coutinho.

I don't know why we keep pondering over these transfers- Eriksen is available and would move to us, so where is our bid?

Disappointed with Brendan after such a promising start to the transfer window.
