If Sunderland get relegated do you think Rodgers will go for Mignolet? He would proberably be cheap and he would want to leave.

I really don't think it hinges on relegation. Either way, he'll likely be a target, should Pepe leave.

Pepe to stay and alonso and torres coming back

I would be happy with Mingolet if Pepe is to leave, as expected. He is a good keeper in a crap team atm.

I would rather have guzan, watch him today it's a good opp to impress though i'd rather he didn't.

I was just thinking about Suarez Eds, and one thing occured to me about (lets for the sake of this presume he is leaving) transfers like this- why do part-player exchanges hardly ever happen? let's say for example Bayern want Suarez and so do Juve- surely Liverpool would ask for (for example) Gomez and money in exchange? It seems logical to me as the club wanting to buy would get their player, and the selling club would get someone as a replacement and get money to expand. Just a thought, would be interested in hearingmEds thoughts on this. I presume there would be complications and all that crap but still.

RedKopite {Ed002's Note - It complicates matters from the perspective that Gomez may not want to move to Liverpool.}

Lewandowski going to Bayern and Suarez staying at Liverpool

31 Mar 2013 06:08:15
Is Gomez mobile enough got for our system?
Just playing devils advocate here, wonder what there rest of you guys think.

Gomez is an excellent striker. a proper out and out CF. who is pretty good in all aspects.
But he does not creates chances for himself.
will not go down to half way line and bring the ball forward and shoot from any distance.

and that's the difference between him or other super star strikers and suarez.

Suarez is a multi player.

We tried for gomez before but no joy. {Ed002's Note - He is one of the players that will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer and would welcome a move to England.}

31 Mar 2013 12:37:58
Can see him ending up at arsenal or City.
we need a another suarez if we have to replace him.
which is almost impossible.
suarez is as good as two good players on the pitch.
a striker. and an assist player.

30 Mar 2013 22:15:34
Rumours are rumours.
For me the real concern is Liverpool having a Top class defense next season. The backline and goalkeeper is the foundations to success and improvement. No point scoring 2 goals and the away team scores 3 goals'.
We do need to spend the majority of our budget available on top class centre backs. An attacking player that can provide goals i'm sure will be sought after aswell. Eriksson rumours even if he were a possibility, though an extremely talented attacking midfielder, its a position we have filled IMO and a position I hope suso rips up for the future.
Keep suarez and build around him'

Probably the most sensible post on here for a while.

Christian Ericson Arda turan and de vrij or dede now that would be a perfect summer REDMICK

It simply will not happen!

De Vrij is no longer an option so you can rule him out straight away,

30 Mar 2013 20:51:21
With Carra retiring, any idea Ed's on who the club have lined up to replace him as vice-captain? I know Reina, Lucas and Skrtel have worn it under Dalglish and Suarez under Rodgers. I know Rodgers has said we new more vocal leaders but no one really stands out as being very vocal.

Cheers and happy Easter to all! {Ed002's Note - I don't know, sorry.}

If it was down to me, after the G it would be the wee 5'11" man suarez.
the passion he showed against zeint was out of this world, pepe after that.

Not vocal? try saurez!

andy carroll dedines evrithing we miss at lfc at the moment someone who is good in the air!
hes brilliant in attacking situations and defensively he's a great asset too
something rodgers has really lacked this season

skrtel is dopey and too wild
agger is good but is better going foward than defending
carragher is a leader and a champion even though going foward for corners and set pieces was never a strong point

really think andy carroll should have been kept for plan b option and i really wish he stays next seoson and is given a chance

basy

One good game and he is the best. tut tut.

Mighty reds, obviously you didn't watch the Cup Final last year, or the semi-final that got us there, or the game against Chelsea a few days afterwards.

The fact is that when Carroll was free from injury and was getting a regular run in the side, he was immense.

The first of Rodgers' many mistakes was having a preconceived idea about Carroll before he even gave him a chance. He followed that up with an amateurish and embarrassing stunt with 3 envelopes, which says everything about him you need to know.

In 5 years time Carroll will have proved his worth as one of the top strikers in England. Rodgers will be scratching around looking for a job in the lower leagues.

redmersey

Here we go with the plan b again.
think that was AC's 3rd and 4th goals this season in a team that has only a plan-A, knock it in the box and c what happens, what someone needs to do is get his goals to minute ratio, after you have got that divide that by 20 (your so called plan b would only be played in last 20minutes of the game). then you can tell us how many goals to game he would get for us off the bench as the plan-B

Carroll is a championship player at best, ngog is better than carroll

He's not really good enough, £8/10 mil we should take it? As apart from his lack of goals, you will never get a full season out of him.

30 Mar 2013 23:18:36
I dint say carroll was world class or he's worth 35 mil but my point was that we have nothing in the air we don't have anyone who will attack the ball when we have corners and we don't have anyone to clear the ball from defensive set pieces,,

I don't agree with all the people who slaughter carroll he's was never given any support by kenny or by rodgers he jus needed someone to support him and giv him a chance
And yes he's bin injured all season but lsn you talk about his goal ratio

REMIND ME HOW GOOD IS BORINIS RECORD HE hasn't EVEN SCORED 1 in the league!

Basy {Ed001's Note - if he got out of the pub a bit more, he wouldn't need all that much support. But when you are nothing but a drunken oaf, you need someone to hold you up, I guess.}

Ngog better than Carroll? You shouldn't be watching football mate, as you don't understand it.

Stick with playing Sonic the Hedgehog on your Nintendo.

redmersey

Just like to say carroll is a big player with big potential
however he would have to prove his commitment 1st
and in my opinion would be better at a club like w. ham, stoke ect.
and I would like to see him in an england shirt again if he proves himself but never in a pool shirt just not the right player for us

Sonic was a sega character.

Ed001, well said. AC had plenty of support from Kenny (how many matches did he start, exactly) and he showed a lack of class and even worse a lack of consistency, discipline, desire, and maturity. He is not the answer to any of the issues LFC have and the only way forward is to cut ties and move on.

31 Mar 2013 09:20:06
andy caroll is the worst Liverpool purchase in clubs history.
sturridge at 12 mill is miles better than caroll anyday.
caroll is a championship player.
he doesn't offer anything. absolute noting.
if you watch him play for more than an hour. you would probably forget to play yourself.

David is better than andy

Big tall lad, physical, strong, Carroll should be tried as central defender. At least he might not get bullied off the ball. Don't know if he could time a tackle or read the game though?

Did you forget aquinalli surely he is in the frame as one of Liverpools worst signings.

Macca

Can you confirm anything in regards to this Eriksen rumour? Have we began talking to Ajax and the player over a potential package?
Do we hold any advantage with having Agger (Denmark captain) and Suarez (former Ajax captain) in our ranks?

Also can you shed any light on the Alexis Sanchez rumours? Same as above do we genuinely hold any interest or even tabled an offer for the Chiliean forward?

Would love these two players at Anfield next season, but I'm not building my hopes up until it happens. Both can attract an array of suitors and this is why I think both will move somewhere else ( and I don't mean Spurs).

Ben Rafa would be a good option for right price or as part of a deal involving Carroll.

Defence wise would like to see us vying for Kjaer, De Vrij and Lovren for our impending vacant defensive slots this summer.
Here's hoping.

Jonesred

Need to get your head out the sand

It will never be eriksen and Sanchez! It will just be eriksen if it happens.

Eriksen will NOT be coming! We will concentrate on the defence! I'm hearing he's holding out for spurs!

We don't want sanchez as that will likely be the result of suarez leaving.
derryred

Sanchez and tello from barca for you know who

30 Mar 2013 19:49:55
Not really a rumour but here is what I would love to see happen this summer
1. Buy Erickson from Ajax, I think he could be Gerrards Long Term Replacement and he is such a quality player and is available for about 15 million I believe.
2. Sell Carroll to Newcastle and try get Ben Arfa in return + some cash towards Ben Arfa maybe 5 million, this is probably not going to happen but Hopefully it will.
3. Sell Coates, Skyrtl and sign 2 new CBs as Carragher is retiring as well, I think 1 of them should be Youngish so he can be in the team for a while and the second 1 more experienced so he can play until our youngsters have had more practise, Dede would be my preference for the Youngish CB but I think it is unlikely
4. Send a few of our young players out on loan and also if a bid comes in for Allen, Borini or Sturridge we should sell, some of you may not agree with me about Sturridge but I really do not like him as a player.
5, If a suitable bid comes in for Reina I think we should sell, I don't mind keeping him but he wasnt at his best this season and is getting a few injuries now and then, also keep Jones as I think he is a good sub if he needs to play.
6. I wasnt sure if Suarez was going to leave or stay but after Maccas last post I think he will stay, I trust Macca fully, do not sell Suarez Liverpool we need him.
My Hopes may be ambitious but there is a very small percent chance of some things happening.
Tell me what you think of these plans and hopefully we get a good result against Villa tomorrow
Also what do you think Eds any chance of this happening!
Cheers, Zincho

Trash from top to bottom, the cherry on the cake is that you don't like sturridge as a player, can I ask why?
my guess is you have been listening to other so called fans.

31 Mar 2013 13:25:50
I think that he is Selfish and doesn't work hard enough on the pitch, yes he has a decent beginning at Liverpool but I feel he could make a bigger effort, I don't listen really to any other fans, I like hearing what people say but that does not mean I agree with them.

30 Mar 2013 19:20:28
Hi eds and fellow posters.
One thing I'd like to discuss and get other's views on is this:
At what price would you let Andy Carroll leave for, and how low would be price have to be before you'd rather keep him?
I confess I have no idea how much Carroll has cost us in fees in total since we bought him but I think we can all agree we will make a significant loss if we were to sell so at what price would you rather just keep him?
Thanks

It's a great question Puzzled and very difficult to answer because we paid 35mil for the guy, yet there appear to be concerns over his professionalism and BRs preference of playing on the deck means it is very to difficult for us to utilise his abilities as one of the most physically imposing strikers in Europe.
I think a bid of 11mil+ and it would probably be wise to swallow the loss, get his wages off the books and move on and try to address RW, DM and CB positions in the summer.
DT

To be honest I would want atleast £17-Million, he can be that good for the right football club - West Ham etc.

I think he will end up going for around 13 million

30 Mar 2013 19:18:19
Why do we struggle so badly against Stoke? The rest of the top half of the table don't seem to, and we don't have an issue with other teams around them. it's always them in particular, yes they are a physical side, but other teams seem to cope fine with them. Do we build ourselves up for it too much? I think we have come to expect to lose these days. It's a shame

Out muscled simple as that we need steel in our team not light weights like allen

Everton didn't have any steel today.
all team have bad days, but just our luck that stoke were good on the day, when have you ever seen walters finish like that ever?

30 Mar 2013 18:59:02
Hope we don't buy shawcross because the worst striker in the league jellyfish is making a show of him JON96

Errrrr! Borini?

An how do you work that one out? te worst one is still on our books even if he is loaned out! if you go by value for money.

30 Mar 2013 19:49:47
To say borini is worse than jelly fish is wrong he's hasn't started yet with all his injuries

30 Mar 2013 18:12:50
With all the latest rumours on Eriksen does anyone know where it has actually come from?

Is it just lazy journalism again with a old story from last summer or are we genuinely in for him?

I've seen stories claiming Overmars has stated we are leading the race to sign him, but what does he actually mean? Have we entered into negotiations with the club or even the player?
Has Overmats actually said this?

We won't really have anyway in finding this out, and it won't be until the summer when the offers come in from across Europe.

I don't agree with posts claiming he will cost 25-30 million. He will be in the last 12 months of his deal in the summer and Ajax will be selling rather than losing him in 12 months time. I think a fee in the region of 15 will get him.

I do think we are and will be interested in him, and just maybe having his international captain in Agger and also his former club captain in Suarez at the club this may be enough.
The only thing I'm certain of in this transfer saga is we won't know until the summer.

Jonesred

Its lazy journalism tbh! Most papers in denmark and holland have him going to spurs with toby alderweireld

I think we probably ARE interested in him. But I wouldn't be surprised if Ajax have made it public nice and early to make sure all the other possible suitors know.
DBol

I think we have an obvious interest. but if overmars reveals it, its only to drive interest out of others, so as to get bids in and get the best offers. i'm sure city will go in aswell. assaidi could be a good barganing tool. but city and d like are likely to big bid. I think we went in early to try and get him b4 a big auction. be a great buy. fingers crossed but I think will be a hard ask. Although to eriksens credit I think hell choose what's right for him
5 gold stars {Ed002's Note - Overmars was asked a question and responded honestly. There is no conspiracy, secret messages or anything else going on with what was said.}

Overmars stated that Liverpool scouts are at the matches, he didn't say anything about us leading the race for him, just journalists making a meal from a pinch of salt.
derryred

How do u know ed. you his p. r? its basically what goes omn to drive up interset and get the best cash. simple
5 gold stars {Ed002's Note - There is no need to drive up interest in the player - everyone and his dog has been looking at him. The transcript to the interview is very clear what was asked of Marc Overmars.}

Ye but if someone steals a march, then letting the cat out of the bag alerts others. they want the most they can get.
5gold stars

Spurs will have a go for him and parker will move on as well as big tom

Same as suarez deal every one including spurs were interested but we got him, if we want ericksen then agger has to sell the club to him

30 Mar 2013 17:57:38
wiiliams is not good enough for us, let's hope we strenghten this summer because last year with sahin/allen/assaidi/borini coming in we did not. why do we have players like wilson quates assaidi that never play? why don't we sell the players that are no longer in br long term plans like skrtl henderson. we bought allen for 15mil, eriksen would have cost the same money. we won't make top 4 this season and the only reason is that we did not strengthen the team. our best 11 is last years team

30 Mar 2013 17:16:49
As it has come out that we are interested in Eriksen, do you think that we have a decent chance of signing him?

30 Mar 2013 17:14:17
Villa in real fight as Southampton were/are-Wakey Wakey to that fact and start well Lfc with correct ATTITUDE, it ain't a light switch you can turn on

30 Mar 2013 16:54:34
I hope all the Brendan-bashers who came out of the woodwork after the defeat against Southampton have taken note of the result at St Mary's today. Just to re-iterate what I said after that defeat, Saints have been playing well, they almost beat United at the start of the season, they have beaten City and now they have beaten Chelsea. Our loss against them was a blip we had been playing really well prior to that game which took place in horrible conditions on the night. Let's hope we put in a good performance tomorrow against Villa who will be giving everything to try and preserve their Premier League status.
DT

Regardless, we should not be losing in that manner to them, Chelsea should not be losing to them either. If they were that good they would be looking up at all those teams.

Just hope that it showed the Benitez back to Liverpool brigade that we should keep supporting the current manager

You really deserve what you will get this season-nothing!

Like City and now Chelsea you make every excuse under the sun for losing at St. Marys. Well, Saints have now found their feet in the EPL and are capable of taking any team in the EPL to the cleaners. They did it to your team and at the same time exposed a lot of weaknesses so just beware AV weren't watching!

But then, because it was St, Marys your lot were playing in "horrible conditions" but of course Saints had divinity on their side so were able to play in perfect conditions!

Wow I take it you'r a united fan so leave the excuses for the manager to come up with, a la fixture schedule "stupid money" spent by city. Liverpool gatting all of the decisions. Maybe you lot will "get luckey some day".

Andy C with a brace. Well done lad! We'll need you next season when Suarez heads off to Bayern. (Or is it Juventus?).

Really happy for AC, hope he can continue to find the net between now and the end of the season.
DT

Bogus red

And so that's why we need big physical presence on pitch! Brom couldn't handle him and Diame today

Yeah because bayern who already have two top strikers competing for one position will want to splash 40+ million for another. Juventus also have a top striker in llorente arriving as well as the likes of quagliarella, vucenic (spelling) giovinco etc. I think we are okay.
derryred {Ed002's Note - There is a whole list of players leaving Bayern Munich this summer including strikers Pizarro and Gomez. Juventus are looking for a player to work off llorente.}

Happy easter to all lfc fans and owners, we will see the light and learn from the past transfer deals the summer moves will prove this. ynwa

30 Mar 2013 16:32:28
Good news today! West Brom losing so we have a chance at pipping them to 7th. Otherwise we will be in 8th, like last year. Some may say that is not improvement, but our plus/minus is much higher this year. Baby steps.

We can catch everton and chelsea

30 Mar 2013 16:12:26
Thommo bang on=Sky Soccer Saturday. Geoff Stelling"Do Lfc need a Centre Half?" Thommo-"No",. "They need TWO Geoff!".
And went on to say the defending against Southampton was shocking. NOT!-What you expect from LFC. But a key word (I. m. o)-that I totally agreed with (and said AT TIME!)-was=ATTITUDE! We thought good run, Only Southampton. Its been amiss not just under Rodgers but on occassions for anLONG Time now. WE need ability obviously but combined with a real will to win, strong mentally players. Not enough of that in our side to CONSISTANTLY Grind results out. Utd ain't that great as a lot of their fans admit. But walk Leauge because Fergie installs that will. You do not walk off pitch to him turning in half hearted poor attitude displays, even if you lack a bit in ability.

Best post I've read today. Luis Suarez is the best example of a strong minded footballer. There's no doubting his ability, but I wonder how many of the truly gifted footballers out there could actually continue performing to that level after the amount of constant abuse Suarez has had. We need a few more

Yeah you can see that passion that Suarez has. When you read his story you will see exactly where it came from.

hi eds

different kind of question for you now.

this season has seen the emergence of players such as sterling, wisdom and suso within the first team. our first team squad shows we have a few other youth players that haven't been used that much, if at all, such as coady and mclaughlin.

so, the question is, what do you think next season will hold with our younger players? do you think players like sterling will move higher up the pecking order? do you think players like ibe will be given more opportunities? or do you think there is no-one really ready to take the next step? and how will all this affect our "summer spending"?

i ask because we have a highly rated set of youth players that have been doing extremely well in both the next gen series and the under-21 premiership. I worry that some players may not be given the opportunities to shine and fall by the wayside {Ed001's Note - it will be a mixed bag, they will be given a chance to impress in pre-season, depending on how they get on will decide what happens with them next season (also what buys and long term injuries we get). A couple will be kept on the fringes of the first team, most will be earmarked for loan moves and the rest will stay in the reserves to develop. I do expect a couple to go out to Hearts again, probably ones that we can't get a decent move for anywhere else, like Ngoo and Wilson this year.}

30 Mar 2013 15:22:37
Do we have an especially good relationship with Hearts Ed?

Also do you expect any loans out to Blackpool, like Shelvey was? Some have indicated Sterling could play there for a while. {Ed001's Note - we are trying to foster a relationship with Hearts, in order to get guaranteed first team football for younger players. I expect it to continue into next season, though I wouldn't want to guess who will go there. As for Blackpool, the loans there were part of the agreement for signing Charlie Adam, I doubt there will be any loans there next season.}

30 Mar 2013 14:12:09
Over the past week we've been linked with
Occha, Dede, De Vrij, Martins Indi, Williams, Eriksen, Ince, Ben Arfa,
Mkhityran (spelling?)and Sow. How many are nessesary and how many can we actually afford if the budget rumours are true, will we have to sell before we can buy?

30 Mar 2013 12:59:17
Anyone free at the moment, get Sunderland on to have a look at Mignolet could be our number 1 next year perfect chance for him to shine

30 Mar 2013 12:45:15
Hi Eds,
I've some questions
What's the current financial situation of the club?
Does that affect the transfer funds?
Should Liverpool sell players for transfer funds?
happy to hear a reply
Pragyan {Ed002's Note - The club is continuing to lose money. The owners have continued to finance the manager throwing money at players - this season to the tune of £50M+ net. The club has to move toward financial self-sufficiency - but they are a very long way from it right now.}

Never mind, could be even worse at Chelsea-their transfer budget may have vanished in Cyprus! LOL.

30 Mar 2013 12:01:52
Do any of the Eds think that Liverpool will bring anyone to Negotiate deals for Us. Ian Ayre is not best at doing this and I like someone of Adriano Galliani to sort our transfers.
Heared Jorge Mendes has negotiated some of the transfers for sum clubs in Italy. Can we acquire his services in Pay per a Deal agreements?
Indian Red {Ed002's Note - I am not sure how well you know Ian Ayres but clearly something has made you conclude that his negotiating skills are not up to scratch. There club is not going to use anyone like an AC Milan VP nor an agent to negotiate the transfers of players he doesn't represent.}

It's Ian Ayre's fault. That makes a change from being Brendan Rodgers' fault. No it's FSGs fault, I'm sorry it's Roy Hodgson's fault, Wait a minute it's Damien Comoli's fault, No it's got to be Rick Parry's fault. People are so quick to condemn individuals they know relatively little about, there have been failings from several people over the last 20 years. I have not seen one person praising Ian Ayre for presiding of numerous commercial deals which are the most lucrative in the club's history. We are also at the forefront of the social media revolution in football, we're in the running to win an Emmy, we've set up academies across the globe - and this has been done despite no Champions League football for 3 years. How about a little perspective and something positive said about Mr Ayre for a change.
DT

I agree with you DT, everyone knows that everything thas gone wrong at the club over the last 5 years is all the fault of Martin Skrtel and Coates

Arnold

Galliani is berlusconi best frend they have been frends since they were young. he runs milan not only the transfers, he will never leave milan.

30 Mar 2013 09:41:50
Is it just me or do we never have sat morning games anymore. We always seem to play on Sundays. I work 4 on 4 off at gatwick and hardly ever get sundays off its so long paying 80 a month for sky, espn, mulriroom and this weekend the only game I have to watch is the man U Sunderland game. If that wasn't bad enough the game on espn later is Everton stoke so I get to watch man u and Everton on my day off the teams I hate the most.

Thats the Europa cup for you.

The Irish Rover

There is one thing. You don't have to watch those team, do you?

30 Mar 2013 09:12:19
Reading some of these posts is embarrassing as a true LFC fan, every one entitled to their own opinion granted, but surely if that opinion is put our team players manager or owners do you not think it may be better off keeping them to your selves?
What ever we won last year our club was not moving forwards, we couldn't score goals and lost some stupid games, from what I can remember last season wasn't everyone saying we struggled against the lower teams? Yet this season we are stuffing them, yet there are still fans saying well it's only this team or that team and it should be expected,
We are scoring goals for fun this year. We have had some bad results which haven't helped but that's football for ya.

I'm still unsure about FSG's intentions for the club, but they have been great owners in stabilising us for the first time in 20 years, balancing our books, and they have allowed a lot of money to be spent on players while still keeping the books looking healthy.

BR is a young manager who has and will make mistakes, but he has improved our players and team play, I have enjoyed watching us play this season more than I have for a long time, I have had belief that who ever we have played we could win. If BR is the final manager to take us back to the top time will tell, but at the moment he is the man for the job.
The players we have currently have the abilities to get us there, with 2-3 additions we will have an amazing team for now and the future. We need to stop slating our young players, give them time to grow and learn, stevie g spent a lot of his first years injured with back problems, didn't score goals straight away, but the obvious talent was there and he was given help time and guidance to become one of the best midfielders of his generation.
If Suarez is sold or not makes no difference, no doubting he is an absolute genius with the ball, very hard to be replaced, the money we would get would be invested back into the team. I hope he stays but it won't be the first or last time a player of his ability will leave a team.
I have been privalaged to watch our mighty team for 30 years, seen some truly amazing games and players grace our shirt, and I will be a supporter and fan for as long as I live,
That's the point, if you are a true fan you will know that the team we have has the ability to be a force in future seasons, if that starts next season with a few additions or in the seasons to come, with Suarez or without LFC will always be LFC, our team a mighty team. Be a supporter and enjoy the re birth of a mighty team.
This has been going on for 20 years, not for a few years, we have owners that are looking after us and supporting us, we have a young manager who has obvious talent at what he does and players young and old that are improving. Exciting times are ahead don't expect things in one season. I hate that scots man down the road but he was given the chance to build a team, and look at them now. they started with their youth, beck am Neville brothers scholles giggs all came through at the same time and carried them to get the money to add to the team, to learn the winning way.
We are on the same path, owners players and managers may change but I believe we have the right people in the right places.

Sorry for rant and long essay but I truly believe that we all need to have patience and belief.

Lifelongred

No you have to let them know when things are bad as they take us for granted

Good post mate i'm supporting LFC for a little longer YNWA

Muggitzo

Interesting post Lifelong, feel your passion man and to the guy who posted a reply, fans like yourself are the reason why Jonjo was forced to close his Twitter account - there's one thing debating the qualities and suitabilities of players in our squad, but it's quite another to let them know they take us for granted, don't really see how that benefits us, the team or the player.

Trouble is Lifelongred that you assume any money for Suarez will be reinvested in the squad. That is pretty questionable and you may end up very disappointed.

Half for transfers half to bank, we should sell as many guys like robinson, wisdom, sterling, shelvey, flanagan the list goes on and realise we need better and also other young players are coming through to take their places.

I do think that Sturridge and Coutinho were excellent aquisitions in January and I am certain it will be the Defence that will be fixed this Summer. Playing the way we are playing under Rogers, we need someone like Williams a big unit to deal with the Stokes and other Physical teams that are going to pump it forward and scrap for the second ball, Skrtle wasn't at his best adapting to Rogers style, Imo Coates needs a run of games to show what Quality he possesses. Brendan doesn't trust him so let him go for someone he does trust. I do think we will improve in seasons to come but we need continuity, that means giving the manager time to build the squad that he trust. Shanks took three yrs to rebuild his sixtie's team into the seventies team that conquered the bloody world. Time and continuity, and not changing the manager every season, will improve us and take us forward.
