Cheers Ed.

Id agree with most of that bar MacAllister. I think his best position is the 6 but as a playmaker rather than a destroyer. When he plays further forward (he has once before this season I believe) I think he struggles to get involved enough and is largely anonymous.

Nunez is just a beast and whatever people say about him the fact is that 99% of strikers just wouldn’t be there to get the chances he gets never mind miss them. There probably only him and Haaland who get that header anywhere near the goal so to be as accurate as he was is just an outstanding finish.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that the injuries and sicknesses affected the team but once again we got the result anyway.

Great to read your reports again Ed01. Thank you!
It did all seem a bit flat but hopefully it was injuries and flu that caused that. I think flu must have ripped through the crowd though as we needed that uplift more than ever.
Ed 01. Are we going to get anymore Thursday podcasts? Also in your last one you mentioned a centre half at one of the teams in the lower half of the Prem who you thought was real quality who was that again?

{Ed001's Note - we should get some again, it is just difficult due to time zones and kids right now.

As for the centre half, was it Murrillo at Forest? He is quality, though weak in the air it must be said.}

Nice to have the reports back. Awesome read.

Could have had a bit more detail on Tsimikas's performance ? but great read overall.

{Ed001's Note - I already spent more time writing on Tsimikas's performance than he spent on the pitch!}

Yes I think it was Murrillo.
I'll take some time to watch him. Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - excellent footballer, he won't be at Forest long.}

Nice one, Ed01. For me, I think the off field issues before the game affected things a lot more than we may think. I heard that the flu bug ravaged the squad to the point that the AXA was shut down for training on Fri. If all of that is true then IMO, I tip my hat to the boys and Klopp for digging it out regardless of how sluggish we looked. Just my take.

As for Darwin, I keep saying it. The guy is pure poison to any defence. On his day, not sure there is a defence that can deal with all the quality he brings as a CF and the hassling and work rate he gets in on a game by game basis. Onto Brentford which will not be a cake walk by any stretch.

Good review Ed and definitely agree about that point on Elliott. He gave Jones so much protection that at one point, I thought he was the one playing RB instead! Never stopped running and provided the two crosses that won us the game. Deserved his MOTM.

Did u notice ed1 how well jota 'hung' in the air for his goal? I remb u saying he practices with Ronaldo headers when in international duty. I thought it v ronaldo-like the way he scored it, almost as if in slow motion he in the air that long!

{Ed001's Note - he has got a hell of a leap on him. Amongst the best aerial threats in Europe and yet he is not tall by any means.}

Thanks Ed, I think you must be correct on the flu issue. so ground out the 3 points. Couple of points.
Great to see Roberston back - looked far better when allowed to bomb forward.
Nunez- Mellors review on Darwin was excellent. He does not stop, great closing down. A few sharper passes or (again) a bit more luck and composure and he gets a hattrick. He is a constant threat - one minor adjustment when Mo comes back, I'd like to him a little closer at time. The link up is excellent.
Elliott- there will come a day when he runs the game, perhaps under a new manager but he has a bright future. He has immense talent, and we have only seen a glimpse of it so far.
Quansah - couple of little errors, leading to one big chance. Not done much wrong since making debut, but shows more to work on. He can be more aggressive at times.

The point about Hendo- we miss that a little, need someone to shout and give a few a rollicking early on. Don't think virg will do that, perhaps Robbos the one .
