After a bit of a slump for some people things are looking good again. Great win last night and into the next round. Eight league games left and we are still in with a shout of the title.

If we were offered this at the start of the season we would have all gladly taken it.

This time last season we were losing players left right and centre which for me badly hindered the end of our campaign. However this year we seem to have a number of players either returning or close to return.

Gomez is due back this month which is a huge bonus for us.

Lallana was man of the match for me Sunday and hopefully he can play like that from now until the rest of the season for us. If he does it will be like having a new player.

Chamberlain although he may only get a few cameos he still could prove to be a good impact player.

Keita still to play regularly but I still think he can contribute in what's left of this season.

Lallana is playing for his future so hopefully gives it his all to end of the season. think his time with us is done so putting himself in shop window.

I think the owners expected nothing less of where we are today . and will be very disappointed if we end the season winning nothing.

Was it not a slump for you?

Would you have taken this position before the City game?

People keep repeating the same thing over and over about what was expected at the start of the season. After we spent the most in Europe I am sure most of us expected min CL quarters and challenge for the league. Posters make out we are having a Leicester season. I said at the start of the season we are in the top 5 teams in Europe and we should act like it.

Lallana was a brilliant player for us. He got injured and has taken a long time to recover but now he is fully fit he is proving he is still a top player.

Mark, it was a slump, for sure BUT not like the slump you and the rest of the knee-jerk reactors made it out to be. Every man and his dog knows blips come and go during a season and injuries happen. It is part of the roller coaster process of a season. The main thing is to stay the course and keep fighting with the hope that things will change for the better and not let your issues completely ruin your season which by all accounts, the blip could have. That is obvious to anyone with an ounce of football knowledge.

The prob. with you and your lot is that you go OTT with knee-jerk reactions cos we did not win a game. I mean, what if we had lot to WH, Utd, Leicester and/ or Everton, what would you be saying or doing if you are losing your marbles cos we drew these games? That is the point. What would you have done had we gone 11 games w/ o a win like we did in the 2002/ 2003 season after being top of the PL? I shudder to think about it really.

The bottom line now is that in spite of our issues, NOTHING has been won or lost and even Pep knows that and has said as much. Or are you suddenly smarter than him now? I propose you take a chill pill next time this happens (cos it will) and be more measured and nuanced in your assessment. It wi;ll prevent you from always going into meltdown mode when things don't go according to plan. Peace, my friend.

I don’t think it was a slump, I think it was a hangover from going out of the cups early and having a “warm weather holi. errr training camp”.

The players lost their sharpness. It was a risk by Kloppy but he knew we had a 7 point lead. Better to have a hangover now than be a busted flush with 5 games to go.
We will finish strongly and Man City need to win all their league games now.

Ron, I agree with you on the whole BUT the warm weather training had NOTHING to do with the slump cos all clubs do it. Spurs just did it this week or is Poch stupid too? It was just unfortunate that during the training, VVD got sick and so did Milner. Then after we arrived, Milner got sick and Hendo and Wiji got got injured in training before the WH game. Injuries and illness can happen and warm whether training has no bearing on these occurrences.
