How can it ever be good business to sign a player for £12m and let him have a release clause in his contract for £13m.

I don't know which mastermind at stoke sorted that deal out, but I'm glad he's nowhere near our club.

Ah, thanks Ed002. It did strike me as a little strange to have a release clause at pretty much the same amount as he was bought for.
