It only dawned on me today that this could have been the day when Liverpool had won every major cup competition, since the owners came in. I find that quite amazing and shows that while we haven’t had success for a while, we have been 1 game away from pretty huge success (not to mention the 13/ 14 season) . The owners get bashed a lot by some, but had we got those last games over the line in the FA cup, the league cup we lost (on pens), the Europa league (which we dominated first half) then tonight would have offered the chance for a full sweep. We’ve been 1 game away from glory, i hope their luck changes tonight. Sure, they have their faults, but I hope they get the chance to experience what it would mean to us as fans to win this tonight. It might change a few perspectives and the narrative from some, it might bring the club together even more. It might inspire them to invest even more heavily in the club, be it stadium development or players, it might just change the mentality of everyone and everything to one of, “we can win the very biggest trophies and we can win the league. We can get things over the line and each member of the club can become a living legend. ”
So I wish the team every single ounce of success that I can and I wish the owners some luck for tonight, they can’t be blamed for losing a one off match when a team have done so well to reach a final. I think they have been so far, let’s hope there’s only joy tonight and that they can taste a little bit of what Liverpool F. C is all about, winning titles.

Great post. Hopefully tonight is the start of klopp doing the full sweep. We are so close and in my opinion 3 top signings away from being the real deal. Ynwa.

And keep Moreno far away from the pitch. 😭.

OP, I have thought of the very same thing you posted for weeks now. To know that since 2010 when FSG took over after Everton embarrassed us in the derby under Roy, we have been (including tonight) in contention and played the final for every trophy competition on offer and won only once. That is staggering if you look at it. People seem to wanna give the owners stick when things go wrong on the pitch (as if they are the ones who sign the players, pick them, pick the tactics and handle the training sessions) while when things are going well like they have been under Klopp, they get NO credit at all.

Sorry, you can't have it both ways. It is either they are crap OR they are improving athe club and playing staff BUT we are not over the line yet. It cannot be both. Like many, I hope we can fix all that tonight cos based on this record and that of Klopp's, they deserve it.
