As an addition, I'm curious to what kind of strategies top clubs use to incorporate academy players into the first team.
First thing that comes to mind is leaving gaps intentionally in the first team so that young players see their opening and work harder to make that place theirs. Kinda what Klopp is doing for Gomez, but that is the mistake we are doing imo. We shoild be leaving gaps upfront since it seems out best young players are attackers, so it should be the other way around.
