Thought we would be battered today, did end up going and I don’t think we played too badly, though we didn’t create any real clear cut chances, but then neither did they and they’ve spent considerably more than us. Positives, a game that I thought we would get battered in played well, Gomes and Moreno were impressive, Salah is brilliant, Oxlade was energetic and tried to make things happen, kept a clean sheet against a team who were flying, negatives, didn’t create enough chances and should really win against a team that didn’t come to play.

And I reckon Reg Varney was in his mid 50s when they started filming On The Buses. I know he was 10 years older than Blakey ;)
