At the end of the day he's grown as a footballer and a person, he's a top footballer and is going to be a key performer for us. You can see defenders don't fancy playing against him.

I was gutted when we didn't get him the first time around and he went to Chelsea. To make it worse, I got the impression at the time that Chelsea didn't really want him, they just saw us dithering about low balling and haggling over his price and swooped in and got the deal done. Personally, I thought he always looked quality - it has just taken him a few more years to find his true home.

{Ed002's Note - No, Chelsea wanted him.}

Salah's Chelsea career was doomed even before he signed on the dotted line for them. He is everything but a Jose player. There was no rationality or common sense behind that Chelsea move, it was kinda obvious for everyone to see. A bit like Markovic's switch to LFC.
Different circumstances but wrong move at the wrong time for the wrong player.

{Ed001's Note - I think that is not true. It is that Hazard played so well and Salah was competing for that position in Jose's system. That was the issue with Salah to Chelsea. Markovic just was a poorly scouted buy, with the club having no plan of where to play him or how to use him.}

He's a great player fast and skilful if I had to be really picky he tends to need a couple of chances to score.
