Could be interesting how coutinho situation plays out in next week to ten days. Will we hear from him or his representatives saying he wished for a dream move to Barcelona but no fee agreed so now will giv his all to lfc? Will he jus say he dissapointed a move never materialised and he still injured and not available for selection by lfc? Will we even hear from him at all? I'm. not sure when Brazil play again but I think it could be a very awkward situation when he back at Kenwood. As ed002 said earlier he made it clear he didn't want to play for lfc again and he dislikes klopp! This pantomime could get worse if we don't tread carefully.

He can hardly claim still injured, otherwise he will cause issues between Brazil and Liverpool and stick himself in the middle of those, would just be digging himself into a bigger hole.

If he is genuinely not happy we should have took £130+ million and let him go, replacement or not. He is a very good player but we paid £8 million for him. I'd sooner play a youngster in the role and take the cash. We have a good amount of midfielders and have coped without him.

Baz.

I think that's why Klopp stood back from the saga, and probably told Coutts to sort it out with the clubs hierarchy.

That way at least Klopp can say, now that its sorted to Couts to come back and concentrate on the football side of things.

Great management if it happened that way.

As much as he is probably totally pissed off, this is a World Cup year so he doesn't really have much choice other than to knuckle down and play his hardest. I don't have too many issues with him wanting to make that move as Barcelona and Real are on another level but it does continue to test the strength of legally binding contracts.

Pool decided to dig their heals in figuring with 1. no buyout clause, 2. delaying the Saurez move a year and 3. World Cup in June, they had a pretty strong hand. Net result, we get him for one more year. It has the potential to be a really good year, hopefully challenging for the title and worst case securing CL again, maybe last 8 in CL (too optimistic? ) and possible deep runs in the domestic cups.

There's already a large boo brigade always ready to pile on the sh*t on to Fsg's head the moment there's a misstep. Can anyone imagine the outrage and outcry if Coutinho had been allowed to leave without being replaced? The club tried, but couldn't find a replacement. I always say "take the money and run", but in this case "take the money and run next summer" is a better option.

LFC picked a good time to stand up to Barcelona as they may be a little weak since Neymar saga. I'd bet the surprise of not getting their man in spite of all the games pkayed with it has put them on the back foot a little now.
