Agreed, people are too quick to write players off and unfortunately for Çan, he's been that player lately. I will admit that I have been frustrated with his performances but I think he should stay for a while to prove that the form he produced at the back end of last season wasn't a one off.

I think it is a bit harsh on Can's detractors to say he hasn't been given time. He has been here now for nearly 3 seasons and he has not improved even slightly. He still cannot tackle, he is still pitiful in the air for a player over 6ft, he is still completely lacking in terms of creativity, he is still dwelling on the ball, his first touch is probably worse than his first season, and his reading of the game is nom existent. In fact in my opinion the only thing I think has improved is his goal tally. He has 3 goals in 22 games this season, having only scored 3 in his previous 89 games.

I think there is a pretty good argument to say he is still only 23 and we perhaps lose sight of that a bit too easily. But there is still a just as strong argument that after 111 games at the club he is still not really showing any clear signs that he is first team material.

He will polarise opinion because on the face of it he has flopped thus far under 2 different managers, but is still a young player who many probably feel deserves more time than the average signing. No need to claim that either side of the argument are being unreasonable. It is just a make or break season for him right now and there isn't really anything to completely sway the fan base as a majority.

Can is not the only one not playing well. Personally I think you could quite easily take anyone off.

I don't know if somethings gone on behind the scenes or if the high intensity played earlier in the season has taken its toll, but half of them look like they either can't be arsed or just tired. Even Klopp looks baffled.

The last time I was this frustrated with them was when just before Brenda got the boot, I really hope it is just a temporary dip in form, but something just doesn't seem right. Regardless; something needs doing with defence and midfield because it is just far too easily broken through.
