Ed002 I don't know if you have seen it, but in an interview with Bild, Firmino was talking about Gotze and said "he would fit in well with us". Surely the club need to advise players better on what they say to the media? I'm sure it was just innocent stupidity but Firmino shouldn't be saying things like that should he? Especially not with Bayern already being pretty suspicious over potential tapping up of the player.

{Ed002's Note - He shouldn't say it but it is likely in response to a loaded question. Liverpool has a history of not briefing players well, or players not taking the briefings on board, in recent years.}

Players are allowed give there opinions on other players, I'm sure the question was about Gotze signing and how he'd fit in the team, don't see anything wrong with that, however if he said he spoke to Gotze and advised him to come it would start to raise suspicions about tapping up. Just like Gerrards comments.

Jay regardless of what he was asked he shouldn't have been speaking about how well Gotze would be for us as if it was already a done deal. It's not his fault, he just clearly hasn't been properly briefed on how to handle inappropriate questions from media outlets. He should've just said something like "Gotze is a good player who could play in any team".

it also said the emre can also said the same thing so it was clearly a loaded question to both players who have played in Germany, but we all don't know what's been said and if the deal has already been done but both partys are waiting for the right time to announce it, because there's a players supposed to be signing tomorrow and maybe the gk from Mainze is also a strong target,

If I remember correctly, I think that I saw somewhere that the question that was asked was 'From your experience with Gotze, do you think he is a good player and do you think he is a good fit for Liverpool' or along those lines. So yes quite a loaded question haha
