30 mins in, seems it's not the high energy we're used to. Ibe looks really bright and a threat every time he runs at them. Milner seems really off the pace, second to the ball and a little sluggish. They haven't really threatened yet but we'll need to step it up a gear or two. Still, we should get the 3 points here.

Milner has been shocking, benteke hasn't had delivery but I don't see any effort from him.

I can't believe milner is one of our highest paid players.

Milner's been a joke - won nothing, played dreadful passes since kick off, not tracked back effectively and generally just playing awfully. Get him off at half time, undermining the whole team he's been so bad.

Lucas has been well off the pace today, to slow on the ball, keeps getting caught in possession, Bentekes been static upfront as wel, but much movement from him, it's all set up for sturidge and lallana.

We just don't have anyone running beyond benteke! That doesn't help as all the play is in front of the Newcastle back line!

I agree Milner is having a poor game so far, but why bring his wages into it, unless of course you are paying it.

We are playing a very away fixture style, very different to Southampton even though that also was away!
Milner has been poor and keep hoping the passes don't go to him, but they do and he loses possession a lot. Allen is covering well and tidying up Milners errors.
Lucas is not doing too well either for that, central areas having problems and that's the heart of the play! Benteke needs to be replaced with Sturridge sometime soon to fire up the forwards, he doesn't look that interested!
Lovren, Clyne and Ibe doing well and Firminos running back is looking good, going forward he is struggling.
We need some flair to come on and work Coloccini!

Looks like its going to be one of those games that if we aren't careful they will sneak one and game over, Ibe has to work on when to get rid of the ball as his final pass is terrible. Benteke is frustrated at the lack of and also poor service. Why does it seem that Lucas is going to give a free kick away and likely a card? Poor performance.

I can't describe how disgusted I am with Milner. He really epitomizes the poor display. A lot of poor touches and misplaced passes but Milner has lead the pack, completely destroyed any momentum going forward by making terrible decisions and misplacing passes all over the place. How he stayed on the pitch for the full 90 is truly a mystery. Not a Capitan and not midfielder. I really don't see what he offers.
