This is now the most egotistical overrated inconsistent league in the world.

As a collective, we've become saturated with the burden of expectancy instilled by the Murdock monopoly.

Great for the pockets of the chosen few affiliated with football, yet sour to the sheep who graze their way through the burden of expectancy.

It's becoming boring beyond comprehension.

P.s Just how did the North American influence of our game become so transparent?

Heads up there I suspect without the pun.

Thanks Rupert.

So just to summarise - you blame Rupert Murdoch because you have unrealistic expectations? And that's due to you not being able to think for yourself, so you're easily lead by the media?

I'd be having a stern word with my folks if I was you, not Rupert

Anyone who remembers football pre Sky knows that it's no longer a game, it a business in the "sports entertainment" industry. In fact it's becoming more like WWF (or whatever the latest iniitials are). Players jumping around, diving about feigning injury. Egos completely out of control with no respect for officials. One on-going continuous soap opera designed to sell newspapers, TV subscriptions and advertising.

That's just the European influence Ron, nothing to do with a subscription tv station.

Could be Essex, but without Sky's money there wouldn't be a European influence to the extent there is now.
It's the constant scrutiny, excessive punditry, undermining of referees turning the game into a circus/pantomime.
"He said this" ; "oh no he didn't" ; "oh yes he did".
Can you remember which doctors were on the bench during the 80's? I can't remember one name, yet we've had front page headlines about one for a week.
It is a soap opera these days but with better acting.

Its only like that if you buy into the bs. If you look at it as an unpredictable sport, guess what you'll view it as?

To say its anything like the scripted WWF is nonsensical. Media may well look for any little thing to better sell papers, but the only reason they make it seem more and more dramactic is because there's enough numpties out there, willing to be easily led down that path. If it didn't sell papers or attract clicks, they wouldn't do it.

If it upsets you, think for yourself in future and don't click the headline or buy the rag

Unpredictable ?
Since the formation of the PL, there has been only been 3 x different winners per decade.
And we're probably down to a likely 2 x at present.
What is unpredictable about that ?
I can't wait for this BS European League to start, which I trust LFC will have ZERO to do with.

So you predicted West Ham would beat City? How about Leicester would be in the top 4 and playing like they are? Did you predict Chelsea would be a shambles defensively for the first 5 weeks? No? So the majorities predictions have been wrong. Would that not make them unpredictable?

I know, in general, you just like arguing Juicer, but give your head a wobble mate. The team that wins the league isn't the only team competing in it. Every week a result surprises. The winner of the league is just one aspect of the league.
