Better stat: they have won trophies while BR has won nothing at the same stage in their LFC careers. Moral of the story? No comparison

thanks a lot to the unexpected performances a couple of seasons ago certainly not last year.

We don't seem to have much of defensive protection or a defence especially in the middle of the park so I think brentan is going for the keegan attack is the best form of defence approach unless o'driscoll can sort out our dodgy defending, especially from set-pieces, for which big ben should help immensely with his heading power.

I have been shortlisted for the season ticket holders role on the lfc supporters committee after 24 years in the kop, would really appreciate any votes, I hope I can do the fans proud.

thanks all, Paul Wilcox.

Right you are, redohio. I remember Shankley talking fondly about the challenge of going up against super-rich Chelsea and Man City, as well as the most marketable team in the world in Man Utd. He was inspirational when he bridged the gap between the money clubs and his team that had challenged twice in 25 years.

The game has changed. Your old comparisons are like comparing football teams to basketball teams. It's an entirely different game these days, sadly.

Please do not mention Brendan in the same sentence as Shankly, or even Houllier or Evans. Its disrespectful, especially to Shankly.

la1993, I;m not 1 for looking back much. I feel history is history, and that any club and fan should concentrate on the future more. But do you have even the slightest inkling about the decline and stagnation of Liverpool before Shanks took over
