Been reading since bale was still at the saints and someones husbands little brother knew that he was coming to Liverpool.

Last season wasn't good at all, the frailties from last season are still there, but if you are one for superstitions (I am not) the last time we toured Asia and started at stoke with our best striker missing the first 6 games we finished 2nd, this time around Stevie isn't there to slip either!!

Nobody gave us a shot at 4th that season let alone coming so close to winning, no reason for all the doom and gloom, all our new signings might just click, be optimistic Reds!!

Why mention Gerrard's slip as if that was the reason we didn't win the title? There were far more reasons than the slip.

I know it wasn't, though it's okay to have a sense of humor about ourselves!

Stevie is a liverpool great, I am sure my comment doesn't change that.

Come off it.

A season has ups and downs, bad performances throughout, injuries suspensions blah blah and its all to get you to the last couple of games and still be in the title run in.

You can't have a perfect season (go away arsenal fans haha - although I remember them playing Pompey and losing and just scrapping a draw)

If Stevie doesn't slip we win the league. Its the brutal truth and its blinkered glasses that would have you spout anything else.

What if allens slips. Think about that.

And if Stevie doesn't slip, we could of lost the next game anyway but if we had of won the league would ylu all be here going we should of had it wrapped up in march or we could lf won it a better way. NOPE.

I love Stevie as much as the rest kf you and I also still and will have his last game recorded (he is THE Liverpool legend) but you can't blame Brendan for not winning the title, it went with one moment.

Waqas, I find your comment regarding Steven Gerard distasteful. That fella gave me years of enjoyment and pride to be a Liverpool fan. I don't care about his slip. I watched the lad week in week out drag us through games. Please have some class lad.

Who cares anymore. People who bang on about the slip are just people who listen to anything the media tries to sh*t stir.

Anybody with half a brain could see that we lost the title because we werentnthe best team. We had a very good run of form late on but it really was a huge push right to the end, every game a nail biting experience. City won it because they knew they were the best team, playing comfortably instead of nervously.

You could point to any number of points that season that lost us the title, then stevies slip looks very small in the grand scale of things. I personally believe we lost it because of rodgers' insistance on playing skrtel and johnson alongside eachother all season, more mistakes combined than any fullback-centre back partnership in history i reckon. The whole team was loterally carrying johnson in the last few games of that season.

Aw take your red tinted glasses off.

We won ten in a row beat city, we were also top of the league at Christmas, we did lose games throughout the season but didn't Chelsea last year?

That league was ours we had done everything we needed to do and then that gerrard slip literally lost us the league but noone will admit it because it's stevie.

I'm not angry about it tbh I was thankful it was him and not Hendo or something because I don't think we would of been as nice to anyone else.

Actually i care as little about gerrard as anybody to be honest.

We just weren't the best team. I emphasise the word TEAM because while our attack was outstanding, so was city's, except they could actually defend, whereas we couldn't defend all season. Imagine how many points we would have saved if we could, eg kolo toure own goal vs west brom.
