Ed1

If you're about mate. I see that you have been criticizing the signing of kovacic as being not needed. Me meanwhile have been trying to defend it vehemently. Ny question is mate forgetting for a min di we need him or not what do you think of him as player ed?

{Ed001's Note - I think he is an excellent player, he is without doubt good enough. My criticism is not regarding his ability. If we had a decent keeper, the defence sorted, a defensive midfielder who isn't being forced out of the club and a top class striker who could stay fit, then he would be a great signing.}

I don't think we'll ever have a decent keeper the defense will never be sorted under rodgers lucas will inevitably leave with kovacic replacing him and i do think he can play there amd i ma hopefulwe will sign a new striker hopefully pray to god its higuain

Fingers crossed ed that we get similarly great players in the other positions you mentioned.
However I seriously doubt it, we will blow whatever money we have on this attacking mid and panic buy the rest as usual.

Ed1 is on the money here. If we'd had a decent defence and keeper 2 seasons ago we'd have won the league.

We didn't address the Mignolet or Skrtel problems and still haven't.

I think we were almost forced into the back three system because we didn't have reliable full backs. Nothing has changed there.

For me Sakho and Lovren are too left footed to be a pair.

Let's hope Flanagan gets back to where he was. Even if he does we need to either make bets on Llori and Wisdom and give them time to settle (which means being a bit patients do forgiving as they settle) or we've got to be active in the market for defenders.

I'd move on Migs but I don't think it will happen. We'd be better off spending big on Lloris or paying Cech whatever he wants (if they would come to us anyway) than by shelling out for more midfielders.

Reet, if all you say is true which it clearly is, why are we not getting rid of the people in charge of fixing those issues instead of acting as if signings will automatically fix the things a coaching staff should be able to do after three years or acting as if these issues will either fix themselves or no longer exist? That is my biggest gripe here. Bottom line is Kova is a good player who is not needed and all the issues you raised will not be fixed by signing this or that player because it is not their job to do the job a manager has consistently faileed to do. Thinking that just spending money on signing player needed or not, will fix our recurring issues is just foolish.
