I feel BR is about to ruin another young star by bringing Origi to Liverpool in January.
This is a terrible decision, the guy needs to stay on loan and play regular football, he will barely get a kick for us and if he does there will be way too much pressure on a young guy with no PL experience.
This wreaks of desperation from ROGERS.

He is not getting regular football in France

{Ed002's Note - Aside from when he has been injured he has been playing regularly - just poorly.}

No point having him playing bad may aswell take him and protect him a bit

Defy, are you saying you would rather have him playing no football, surely even playing badly is better than not playing, for a start he may play himself back into form and he is staying match fit.
Sitting on our bench or worst not even getting into the squad and playing in the reserves could not be better for the guy than playing in the French League.

I can't help but think that once a young players head has been turned and they are aware of their sealed impending move, then the motivation to play well for their loan team has somewhat diminished.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily a reflection of the players attitude, but just that every player is not the same.

This buy-to-loan stuff is a load of nonsense

Origi has been the target of Lille fans' anger because of the high expectations placed on his shoulders. If he can come here and learn alongside a better caliber of player, then he will be more successful in the long run, especially considering he will be able to adapt six months to a year earlier. As shown in the World Cup, he is the type of player that can make an impact even in a big game, and I feel bringing Ibe and Origi back into the club early will benefit them in what will hopefully be a return to the top four. We also have a lot of injuries right now and no need to invest until we see what our current contingent can do.
