Call me pessimistic, but I believe Caicedo will end up at Chelsea. I'm expecting them to match our bid and Caicedo wants to go there.

The deadline set by Brighton was midnight.

I somehow share this thought as well. We don't have any update on Caicedo accepting the move to LFC and the tables can turn pretty quickly again.

Unless jurgen has turned his head obviously.

It reports that Brighton had a deadline of midnight Thursday for final bids. That has been and gone with Liverpool FC being the highest bid. Unless Caicedo doesn’t declines the terms Liverpool offer. Then he goes to Liverpool.

You’re going to be disappointed then.

This thread is the last stand of the negative LFC supporters club, must be painful to always expect the worst in life.

Caicedo will meet JK this morning prior to his medical.

It sounds like Chelsea kept lowballing Brighton and wouldn't pay what was asked. Then in some shocking turn of events Liverpool decided to pay someones asking price even though its huuuge. Crazy times.

Until I see him in a red shirt I won’t believe it.

SzSz8, Good Morning - I think there is nothing negative about showing some caution here. LFC have made the highest bid, but I have read that the player wants Chelsea, so until we see him in a LFC shirt after a medical, let's not count our chickens.

Remember when we signed Van Dijk, we were not the highest bidders, but he only wanted to come to Liverpool, so that's where he ended up.

I am certain there won't be any negativity if he does sign.

"Lowballing" with bids of over £80 million.
Go figure.

Crazy amount of money and he probably isn’t worth it… who is. But come on guys let’s enjoy this! This is your championship manager on steroids. What a 3 man midfield we potentially have now ?.

Imagine, Macca £35m, Dom £60m and Moises £110m, with perhaps a defender and even another midfielder to come. £205m and counting in one window. Can we say that is a considerable investment by the club?

Wish we'd had this resolve with Jude Bellingham.

Dermydoc and LFC_STE84 - let's hope the Brighton deadline doesn't turn out to be like the Man Utd deadline 1/ 2/ 3 and counting.

Good Morning KBL, caution is a great thing and the level of caution is made of the facts, to me anyway!

Ed002 started that Chelsea were not going higher than their last bid, they can in for Lavia the night before we made contact with Brighton as they had be following him for months and basically walked away from Caicedo hence why we stepped in and made contact.

I am assuming that we spoke with Brighton and the players agent over the next 18hrs to make sure the club and player would be happy with a Liverpool move! At this point we placed a bid and Brighton accepted straight away, this is because everything had already been agreed. Any ambiguity in the deal and we would never of bid.

So from my life calculations on caution, it is so low that I am expecting the lean very soon. i will count my chickens and not live my life worrying about stuff that will probably never happen and if it does I will smile and carry on like always.

Football is in the entertainments business, be entertained by all aspects of it ?.

WDW- Sure some will point to Chelsea and Utd and say no but for me this is looking a very good window, think a high level centre back would be too much to ask without any more considerable departures.

WDW don’t see another midfielder coming tbh, maybe Andre for January, and the LCB I guess it might depend on sales now.

FTR I believe the term 'lowballing' means offering less than the sellers asking price regardless of if that asking price is a lot or a little. Go figure that out.

great signing but paid too much.
