Eds, have you heard of anny update on the Gotze situation? The internet blew up a little last night when Tony Barrett said we were in on going talks with his representatives, any truth to this?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation. I am not sure the benefit of "on going talks with his representatives" but if Liverpool want Goetze they need to put an offer to Bayern Munich who are keen to move him on.}

If one of coutinho, lallana or firmino is not leaving i don't see the need for gotze. Unless the game plan is to throw a load of numer 10s on the pitch and hope it works.

Im sure lallana will be off to spuds to pay for the goetze deal. Lallana has been great but goetze is an improvement and younger. if he works out could even increase in value unlike lallane.

Imo Lallana won't go to Spuds or anywere else and I think Klopp sees him as an integral part of his plans and first to press the opposition.

If were moving on the likes of Benteke, Ibe, Abd possibly others then Goetze would make sense.

I doubt the talks are ongoing though and like Ed has said if we are interested we no what we need to do.

If we win on Wednesday then we'll be in the Champions League - meaning that there will need to be a lot of rotation.

Adding Goetze to the squad just means that we'll have better options the game before/ after a big champions league tie or better options from the bench surely?

Four doesn't go into three in a single game but certainly does over the course of a season.

Mick If we win Wednesday we will have less games next season as we won't have to qualify for any European compition.
Considering Klopp has made 50 games quicker than any other Liverpool manager he should be used to the busy schedule now. Also I doubt Goetze would be happy sitting on the bench either.

All of our current "number 10's" are versatile and can be used effectively as wingers.
We have very little depth to the side and even if we bring in 2 new wingers we don't have any quality replacements should we pick up injuries.
