Behind the scenes, new developments continue to emerge in the case of Xabi Alonso and Liverpool, with a subtle shift in tone from his side. Patience is still there, but not without limits, as there is a growing sense that while the process is being respected, the delays are becoming slightly harder to understand, especially since most key elements have already been discussed and the situation has been in an advanced stage for some time, as I have consistently reported. Planning considerations on Alonso's side are also gradually becoming more relevant as serious alternative interest continues to exist, while internal discussions at Liverpool's ownership level are delaying the timing of the final step, even though the depth of prior talks stands as clear evidence of how advanced the groundwork already is and how close the process remains to its final stage, contrary to what some club-aligned briefings continue to suggest publicly.
I have previously revealed that Liverpool's senior leadership, including Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards, moved early and decisively, holding detailed, direct conversations with Alonso that went far beyond informal interest. These talks covered sporting structure, long-term squad planning, coaching autonomy, and overall strategic alignment, while his agent Iñaki Ibáñez played a key role in shaping the framework of a potential agreement, leading to further high-level interactions involving Linda Pizzuti Henry and representatives of IDUB Global, with confirmations from Leverkusen circles closely connected to the agency reinforcing that the major groundwork, both sporting and contractual, had effectively been completed, leaving only the final approval as the remaining step.
The current situation now rests entirely with ownership, specifically John W. Henry, principal owner of Liverpool through Fenway Sports Group, who remains the final decision-maker and, at this stage, the only factor delaying full completion. Alonso and his assistant Sebastián Parrilla are fully aware of this internal dynamic, and as mentioned in my prior reports, there has already been internal preparation on their side for a possible transition towards the final stretch of the season, including early planning around staff integration and squad structure.
Nevertheless, there is still an understanding toward Liverpool's decision to continue with Arne Slot until the campaign concludes, yet the gap between the depth of prior discussions and the absence of a definitive green light is becoming increasingly noticeable, confidence remains high, but the longer the decision takes, the more it naturally introduces a degree of tension.
In the background, alternative pathways remain active, with Manchester City continuing to position themselves as the most credible alternative should Liverpool not finalize the process. Last December, I was the first to reveal that Alonso's release structure at Leverkusen was specifically designed to cover the clubs he played for, namely Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, and FC Bayern Munich, while notably also including Manchester City as the only club on that list he never represented as a player, a reflection of his long-standing admiration and connection to Pep Guardiola. This connection dates back to his time playing under Guardiola at Bayern Munich and was further strengthened during a period in which Alonso spent several days at the Etihad Campus observing his methods in what was effectively an informal internship, making that environment a naturally attractive pathway should Liverpool not finalize their decision.
I can also exclusively reveal that very recent contact from Chelsea FC has taken place over the past days as they quietly reassess their managerial situation, although they remain a secondary option. Alonso's full, wholehearted priority remains firmly on Liverpool, and all indications from his camp, his agency, former players he remains in contact with, and wider industry sources continue to point toward him becoming Liverpool's next manager, with the process now effectively in its final stage, where only the final internal green light and formal confirmation from the ownership side remain, meaning the direction is clearly set, even if, until that last step is taken, a slight degree of uncertainty remains and the situation stays just open enough for other elite clubs to remain attentive.

I really trust Carra. I just wonder is it truly completely dead. Only time will tell i suppose.

Sounds like a spaceITK post
22 Apr 2026 20:00:14
I always thought John Henry didn't bother with footballing matters.
If any of this is true then it has more of a Richard Hughes vibe, delaying things, making people wait for seemingly no reason and then act shocked when they go elsewhere.
I had set my heart on Slot, Hughes and Edwards departing when the season is done and i have everything crossed it still happens.
22 Apr 2026 20:02:16
Lots of source-less speculation there.
X poster is guessing
22 Apr 2026 20:14:24
I'm not even reading that.
I bet my house there isn't a single shred of new info in it.
22 Apr 2026 20:26:08
That's a Bayernspace tweet.
But even that has a slight doubt towards Xabi being a dead cert to be next LFC manager than it was before
22 Apr 2026 23:56:58
So, basically, most people want Slot to go - perhaps even Slot himself - but nobody knows if he will and, if he does, when it will be.
There seem to be 4 potential replacements IF Slot does go Alonso, Enrique, Iraola and Hoeness, although nobody has any real idea about who would get job if it became available.
A lot of people's pocket money was shelled out on Alonso but it seems that 'things might have changed'.
I think that just about sums it up?
All good stuff, it'll be very interesting to see how it plays out and the really big bonus we'll get when the situation is resolved will be the end of the interminable daily discussions on the same topic.
22 Apr 2026 18:09:30
Seems that Xabi is being lined up by Chelsea, if the internet tittle tattle is to be believed.

22 Apr 2026 18:17:48
Have to say if he ends up there then wouldn't want him near our club as manager at any point
The emotional heart strings wants him in. if he goes down the chelsea or man city road.
Never. Never want him managing Liverpool.
Someone mentioned here previously we love Alonso more than he loves us.
Obviously all just Internet talk but pretty much where I am with that scenario!
22 Apr 2026 18:28:14
They can line it up alright. I think the chance for Nagelsmann i bigger, or hold out for Enrique which they will have to battle City for - and lose.
22 Apr 2026 18:42:02
I don't think it's about us loving him more than Alonso loves Liverpool. He's currently unemployed, and if we're not going to offer him a job, why would he stay unemployed in the hope of getting an offer from us when other clubs are already offering him one? The only club I'd be bitter about him joining is Man Utd.
22 Apr 2026 18:50:51
What do you expect from him he's going to sit at home and wait for our board to cop on! Of course he'd take that job they have a great squad of players he could work wonders with! He's available now we've got to act now if we want him but don't blame him if we don't act now
22 Apr 2026 18:53:48
What jobs can he take then MightyR3ds? Or should he just sit around for the rest of his life waiting for the Liverpool job?
22 Apr 2026 19:14:20
If he goes to Chelsea he can still join us in the summer after he gets sacked by them.
22 Apr 2026 19:15:29
I would bet Xabi Alonso loves Liverpool more than Arne Slot and Richard Hughes do judging by their work ethic.
22 Apr 2026 19:36:36
If Alonso turns us down at least twice. and then goes to a Direct rival. that does mean I don't want him to manage Liverpool.
He is the one who said he wants to manage us. so if he then turns us down. bridges burned IMO
22 Apr 2026 19:37:35
Alonso is not coming to Liverpool. If he was he would already be here
22 Apr 2026 19:58:33
Alonso's not taking the Chelsea job, end of. You need your head checked if you think there's even a sliver of possibility.
22 Apr 2026 20:07:22
You expect Xabi to just sit by the phone waiting for us to call? I wouldn't blame him to look elsewhere.
23 Apr 2026 06:50:14
Why would anyone want to go to that blue merry-go-round.

Recently the higher-ups at the club (and FSG employees) have canvassed the players to get opinions on what is going on, and they’ve received positive feedback in terms of Slot and the management team - the players and management really do think this season has just been “one of them” and want to move on from it supposedly.
Too many people are claiming to know more than the club even know right now…

22 Apr 2026 17:34:41
You cannot run a football club on PR and publicity.
22 Apr 2026 17:53:05
Are they doing it via poll?
22 Apr 2026 17:59:18
Did they use TripAdvisor or Yahoo for the feedback? I hear Ekitike gave Slot a four Edam emoji review ?
22 Apr 2026 19:33:54
Don't believe any of that
22 Apr 2026 20:00:51
You tryna tell me that FSG essentially had a Slot Out poll?! ? Pull the other one will you
22 Apr 2026 21:07:45
Doubt the post all you want, I have my doubts also!
But, if you don't think that the people running the club will talk to the people interacting with Slot & the management team every day towards the end of a miserable season, I would say think again.
22 Apr 2026 22:48:36
Email to all the squad . SurveyMonkey . Out of 10, with 1 being incompetent and 10 being useless, how would you rate your Manager?
22 Apr 2026 23:03:04
Maybe the players like all the time off and minimal fitness work
22 Apr 2026 15:44:58
Tell you what fellas, flew up them ladders like a chimpanzee after Virgil's 100th minute derby winner ?. Flew back down them just as fast when the job was done to get some more gossip.
As I said last week, the next coach "isn't sorted" and could be someone "very interesting". I hope my player isn't pulling a fast one on me and that he means it might be Arne? I didn't push this tho we've just had a big win so jib that for now. As I said last week, he shook his head at the name of one Xabi Alonso which I guess is a bit sad. The real sickener is Chelsea and United both want him that would be rough. A left field one btw, NEWCASTLE are interested in him. If that's how this works I might just put on the record I'm interested in Dua Lipa.
Anyway I did push on transfers! You'll remember that we want SIX at least if we secure #CL football. Hopefully loyal readers will remember the talk of croissants and berets too ??. Here's the info I got on those six additions:
The chain of events to look out for come the summer are as followers:
- Macca is off. To Spain most likely but he has an offer from Italy he likes.
- Mo has NOT decided where, but Italy is possible. And one club wants him and Alisson as a duo.
- Yan Diomande is coming in and will be taking the #11 shirt from Mo. It will be for less than €100M.
- We want a star studded Frenchman to come in who will take the #10 shirt from Macca.
- Angelo Stiller is the Macca replacement. Wharton may join also but not done.
- We want a left and a right back for similar money to Kerkez/Frimpong fees last summer. My player said the Robbo replacement is sorted. ?
2 defenders. 2 midfielders. 2 attackers. There may also be movement in both boxes given Alisson and Ekitike injury concerns (albeit very different). Six additions is MINIMUM. So strap in for a big summer in and around that World Cup thing.
For now, let's just revel in an absolutely hilarious Merseyside victory at the Hill Dijkinson Stadium. Oh Everton
Szoboszlai's corner . VAN DIJKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! ⚽️

Hello all,
After further talks this week, it looks increasingly likely that Xabi Alonso will not be the next Liverpool manager.
No further information, but been told as of now a deal is off.
I've been told Sebastian Hoeness would be 100% ready to accept the LFC job if approached again.

22 Apr 2026 14:57:52
Thanks Carra. Is Slot still expected to leave in the summer?
22 Apr 2026 14:59:54
Cheers Carra, been following Sabastian for some time, i'd be very happy with his appointment ?
22 Apr 2026 15:00:35
Oh man now the ITKs are contradicting each other
Well, if this is the update I'm ok with Xabi not coming. Love him and would love the affinity and the story but feel like we are crying out for someone with a bit more experience.
22 Apr 2026 15:03:29
Good to hear from you Carra
Thanks mate
22 Apr 2026 15:03:30
Dont know what I feel. Maybe relieved, since I don't think Alonso would be the messiah everyone thinks he is. That said, I can't wait for Slot to be out the door.
22 Apr 2026 15:04:59
Wow ?
22 Apr 2026 15:05:29
Wow, out of interest Carra taking Xabi out
of the equation, if it was your choice who do you think best suits us who is potentially achievable to bring in.
22 Apr 2026 15:05:40
I'm at the point of desperation where Bob Holness would do me, but that guy, Iraola, Enrique, Alonso are all good enough imho.
22 Apr 2026 15:09:36
Waiting for the meltdown on here for the next few hours
22 Apr 2026 15:10:44
I will not be too disappointed if Xabi doesn't join. The style of play is quite methodical and controlled. My top choice is Iraola. However, it seems more and more likely Slot might actually stay. In that case, let's hope he can reflect on the season, and play intense, attacking football. As long as we keep that up, I have no doubt the results will follow.
22 Apr 2026 15:10:47
Well that's interesting. and upsetting
Thanks carra.
Hopefully it means we are exploring other avenues and not sticking with slot. and definitely not offering a new contract (if he has changed his mind about leaving)
I assume the club set up of coach, not manager is the main reason and the club are in with Edwards and Hughes. which seems strange as they only have a year left.
Absolutely happy with Hoeness have to say. you not mentioned Iriaola. is he not on the agenda or is he expected at Man United still? .
As a famous John W tweet once said.
What have they been smoking??!!
22 Apr 2026 15:11:48
Enrique would be no.1 for me, if he could be tempted to leave PSG, Sebastian Hoeness I believe he plays 4-2-3-1 but would be a bit of a risk but equally I guess Xabi would be to a certain extent
22 Apr 2026 15:20:19
Cheers Carra.
Christ, cat amongst the pigeons.
As previous people have mentioned, are you still fully expecting Slot to leave regardless?
Look forward to hearing
22 Apr 2026 15:20:32
Maybe goes to Bayern? Kompany to city? Pep to retire?
22 Apr 2026 15:24:35
Thanks for the update, Carra. Do you have any guesses on why the deal is off? Any chance of its revival?
22 Apr 2026 15:27:06
Think this news may have dropped at the worst time. With all the noise of Slot staying flying around and Carra dropping this(i understand hoeness was mentioned in post) I suspect a lot of doom and gloom on here coming.
22 Apr 2026 15:32:07
Thanks, Carra.
I guess the noise about Xabi wanting greater influence over recruitment could have some truth in it.
Very disappointing given Hughes and Edwards are openly flirting with Saudi Arabia jobs on a constant basis.
22 Apr 2026 15:33:11
He's going to stay isn't he.
22 Apr 2026 15:35:17
Same query as Shipley, wonder if this means Slot has had a change of heart also if recent talk about him also wanting to leave is true?
22 Apr 2026 15:35:24
This is definitely to do with those di**heads Hughes and Edwards.
Xabi prob wants full control on transfers and these 2 egos maniacs are not allowing it.
I'm genuinely worried about the future now.
Really thought we'd get Alonso in and get back where we belong.
Don't know much about Hoeness but ed1 rates him. That'll do me.
Anyone but Slot!
22 Apr 2026 15:36:21
As long as there WILL be a new manager!
There will now be loads of rumours as to why Alonso won't be taking over, so we best get prepared for the 'so called ITK's' to be dropping posts every hour.
22 Apr 2026 15:37:31
This has not made my day haha but cheers for the info carra, very much appreciated.
22 Apr 2026 15:38:08
Slot staying looks like.
Robbo, Salah already leaving, McAlister, Jones, Alison linked elswhere too, looks like Slot won and is staying
22 Apr 2026 15:40:00
Thanks Carra
Disappointing but not as disappointing as Slot staying. Do you feel Hoeness would be approached, I believe he was the preference playing style of some people on here, never seen his teams play but as long as its not the same as this dross it will be an improvement.
Keep the posts coming as regardless of the crap being said on here at time all the ITK info is appreciated.
22 Apr 2026 15:46:57
Cheers Carra. Is this because Alonso wouldn't want Edwards/Hughes having so much say in players etc?
22 Apr 2026 15:57:57
As expected. Edwards and Hughes clearly digging their heels in with transfers. Another season with Slot or another yes man incoming to appease the egos of Edwards and his chums. Another long season ahead
22 Apr 2026 15:57:57
That more or less clarifies what the window cleaner said last week when he asked if Xabi was coming in & was replied with a shake of the head
22 Apr 2026 16:00:52
Talk about kicking a bloke when he's already down. That only means he still gunna be here next season. Can't see us going back in for Hoeness if we have said no to Alonso. Or is this an Iraola smokescreen?
22 Apr 2026 16:07:39
Damn looks like he's all set for Man City then or even Chelsea if they pay off rosenior
I think the best way to handle all this is the disappear to a remote island until August and then turn in your phone and have a look at what is happening at lfc lol
22 Apr 2026 16:13:03
I can only take that as a possible that he goes to City instead.
22 Apr 2026 16:18:23
Iraola ? for the reds revolution.
22 Apr 2026 16:18:37
Hoeness is talented but to me represents the biggest risk out of Alonso, Iraola, Flick and Hoeness (the four realistic options I would consider). He has reached the ceiling of what can be achieved at Stuttgart but is unproven when it comes to the Premier League, Europe and winning titles.
He is also a Bayern man through and through due to his own and family connections to the club. If he's a genuinely elite manager, it is inevitable he will manage there in the future. I doubt we would have his long-term loyalty.
I hope the issues with Alonso can be resolved.
22 Apr 2026 16:34:27
I won't be watching anywhere near as much if Slot stays. The most insipid football since Roy Hodgson. I just can't do it.
Its heartbreaking seeing all the work and confidence Klopp gave this club, city and fans evaporate in 18 months. I've lived through the 80's, Houllier, Benitez, Hodgson, a Kenny comeback, Rogers, Evans, Sounness etc
I just couldn't take another season of Slot.
22 Apr 2026 16:41:31
Thanks for the information Carra.
The club is a shambles though.
22 Apr 2026 16:46:54
I would see this as good news bad news.
Bad news is Alonso is your preferred choice to manage the club
Good news if you want slot gone, because if the club are actively involved in talks with another manager that smacks that the current incumbent is off.
22 Apr 2026 16:51:19
Thanks Carra. Very interesting
22 Apr 2026 16:57:40
If it's not Alonso I worry he'll end out at Chelsea or Arsenal and smash it.
22 Apr 2026 17:01:31
Carra,
I respectfully dislike this rumour.
Diddly out
22 Apr 2026 17:24:09
Ffs..
22 Apr 2026 17:32:40
I've never felt like Alonso wants LFC.
Still Iraola for me, he's the most Klopp-like in terms of tactics and intensity.
Hoeness more of a risk as he's never done it in the Prem.
Alonso to ManU would sting but not surprise me.
{Ed025's Note - Rosenior is out of work now Ron..you never know mate.. :)
22 Apr 2026 17:42:46
Iraola please
22 Apr 2026 17:49:39
Who's old enough to remember when Michael Edwards was the messiah?
More money to buy Isak than Cherki, Guehi and Semenyo combined has killed that.
22 Apr 2026 17:58:31
Not questioning your information Carra but what's changed? We have gone through the whole season expecting Xabi to take the reins?
22 Apr 2026 17:59:33
Good decision as better managers will be available next year. This year is going to be a musical chairs for mangers after world cup as every damn club needs one and their will be too much movement.
We have a manager, he will need to prove himself next year to earn that extension or we can be in the market for enrique, emery, carlo and perhaps klopp who knows
22 Apr 2026 18:34:37
So you want to continue with dross like the last 18 months Cafu. We have a manager yes but alas he's the problem with the results & more importantly the performances
22 Apr 2026 19:00:08
Thanks Carra, if anyone gives you hassle ignore them or better yet name and shame them if they want to act like kids treat them like it.
A bit disappointed as was hopeful of Alonso, but if he wanted assurances or control the club wasn't willing to give not much can be done.
Hopefully means someone like Enrique could be persuaded but I doubt it as I hear he feels he hasn't completed the project at PSG.
But it does mean the club is looking so finger crossed.
22 Apr 2026 19:19:55
Carra - just to follow on from the original post do you see Hoeness most likely now or a revisit of those previously spoken with which included Fabregas, Enrique etc?
22 Apr 2026 19:28:31
Thanks a million Carra. We really appreciate any information you can give us mate
22 Apr 2026 21:30:03
Assume we are talking the Stuttgart manager his name is Sebastian HoneneB (Germany B squiggle)
RM apparently looking at him.
22 Apr 2026 22:33:14
Is it that Alonso wouldn't have enough say in transfer dealings?
22 Apr 2026 13:41:04
So to follow on from what I posted the other week and got pelters for... I've spoken again to my friend who has a contact at the youth academy. Word is Slot is set to sign a new contract which will keep him here for 3 more seasons. The club seem to accept this is a transitional season with a lot of new faces, mostly being injured for long periods and an adjustment to a new way of playing.
On the whole they are happy that we will get CL next season. If the same happens again next season however they will not be so encouraged. Alonso was never an option as they have always said if we get CL they are happy as is. Slot was and is their man and he will be here until he decides he's had enough. I would expect Alonso to be announced at another club very soon. Take that as you will.

At least you'll be used to it ??
On a serious note, thanks for the update, even though its not going to go down well with most of us
22 Apr 2026 14:30:02
Doesn't his contract end in 2027? If so why would they extend him now if they are willing to sack him next year should form still be this bad?
Not saying you're wrong and appreciate the posts but i can't see any sense in it. Mind you i can't see any sense in him still being here in April to be fair
22 Apr 2026 14:37:23
Cant be posting rumours people don't want to hear, you have to tell them something to make their day better?
22 Apr 2026 14:36:11
I remain committed to my delusion. He will leave by mutual consent at the end of the season - possibly once CL qualification is mathematically secured.
22 Apr 2026 15:02:04
I don't know what to make of it. Even if the club are sticking with him, there is no point in renewing the contract yet. The jury will clearly be out next season if he stays, and if we are floundering like this come November, he SHOULD be relieved of his duties. Extending his contract at this point is pure foolishness.
22 Apr 2026 15:14:51
Agree FPF
I've set my mind to him going at end of season for the last 6 months.
So in my mind that's what's happening.
Heaven forbid he stays, let alone sign a new contract. not sure how I can compute that.
What part of this last year have they watched the games and thought. yeh. that's what we like to see. more of the same please.

I guess we are spending on building a team to dominate in all comps, erm was there small print in that that said lose 17, out of all comps and scrape into champs league? Also was there any mention at pre season this is a transition period? I've seen zero progress this season under Klopp his transitional period always had an upward spiral this season is downward.
Only good fortune will see us in the chmps lge which for FSG is what its about, money from tv and chmps lge. This team has seen Wirtz probably say to himself he wished he had gone to Bayern. that's on Slots coaching.

No one in the youth academy would be privy to this information. I doubt even Alex Inglethorpe.
No offence but, even if you are telling the truth about hearing this, it means absolutely nothing.

Why is it good fortune were in the Champions league?

Hi all,
The club are not currently assessing their options to make a permanent signing re Ekitike's injury. This is viewed as ripe opportunity for Isak to bed in and return to pre-Liverpool form.
Currently, we are looking at forwards to add some pace to the left wing and a replacement for Salah (which I believe will be Diomande).
While the club did admire Kolo Muani in the past, those days are gone and his poor time at Tottenham has soiled our interest.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

Get Anthony Gordon in, rapid, can play all along the line (including CF), and his goal scoring stats this season are almost exactly same as Ekitike's. Bayern are looking at him, so he's good enough for us. Preparing for pelters.

Thanks for the info! Diomande makes sense as he can play both left and right. But considering we have Ngumoha who will be a little older, and Gakpo on the left, do you really think we need another left winger?
For me, I think we need 2 options for the right. The first being Diomande makes sense but a left footed player for the right would be helpful too. Thoughts on Elliott staying for another season?

Hope you're right about RK Muani. 1 Premier League goal this season is awful. I get that 22 million euro is very cheap for a 27 year old striker with his overall career pedigree, but it feels like Chiesa all over again. I don't want to sign players on a downward trajectory.

Not that it would happen, but I wonder if Hugo had been hurt prior to Mo announcing he was leaving, if it could have tempted him to stay.
22 Apr 2026 14:14:16
Cheers Vic, hopefully some of the lads on the cusp of first team can step up. Danns looks to have potential if he can stay injury free.

Diomande looks like Semenyo II
His body looks ready to go in the prem.
Hope we get him

Cheers for update VG.
Do you know of any concrete interest in Olise. I know him, Diomande and Barcola have all been mentioned. Personally would love any 2 of those for the wings.
Main thing we need is a tough, resilient, rarely injured midfield with bundles of energy.any names on that which you could mention?
Cheers in advance

Sign two wingers (Diomande and one other) this summer, have Cody Gakpo deputise for Alexander Isak, with one of Will Wright or Jayden Danns as backup.
Then sign a more robust first choice RB, capable of inverting, and have Jeremie Frimpong be both right wing and right back cover.
If Hugo returns well, we can look to move Cody Gakpo on the summer after.

AZ, I do not think Elliott will be in the squad next season. Very unhappy with the club. Perhaps of all goes to plan and Slot does leave, that may change. It's a shame because he adores us.
2shoes, there is big interest in Olise yes. As I understand, Diomande is our first choice. Barcola is also deeply admired. One thing however that the club are aware of is the personal/PR issues with Olise. Not going into detail but what I am referring to is on social media.
I don't think at the end of the day that it would stop us from signing him if given the chance, but it is something interesting to consider.
22 Apr 2026 14:46:05
Does this mean the end of Chiesa at the club too? I was so hoping for him to be given a proper chance under a new manager.
22 Apr 2026 14:52:41
FSGGenius, Gordon's goal scoring is absolutely nothing like Elitike. What absolute nonsense. Ekitike has 11 Premier League goals, all scored in open play. Gordon has only scored 3 in open play the other 3 goals being penalties.
22 Apr 2026 15:19:06
So he has 6 Premier League goals so Victor? And they've both scored 17 in all comps.Fail to see where the nonsense is.Gordons à good player.
22 Apr 2026 17:40:22
Gordon is not remotely a good player. He's bang average and always gets found out against decent opponents. He's no better than dross like Stewart Downing or Joe Cole when we signed them. There is an absolute dearth of talent with English footballers.
It is absolutely nonsense to compare the two of them. Four of Gordon's non Premier League goals came against Quarabag, which is flat track bully stuff at best and in the league Gordon isn't remotely comparable. 3 goals is open play is absolutely rubbish.
He's a bang average winger at best with nothing to his game beyond theatrics. Can't beat a man with skill, his end product is poor and his intelligence and decision making non existent.
{Ed025's Note - i take it you are not his PR manager then Victor?.. :)
22 Apr 2026 20:26:01
Interestingly, I see Gordon is rumoured to have drawn interest from Bayern, no idea why, but as I started to look into it I found that quite a large number of Newcastle fans are far less than impressed with him.
Had no idea he went nearly a full calendar year without scoring. I hereby revoke my suggestion of paying no more than £50m and in place suggest we table a bid of 50m jaffa cakes, the knock-off ones from Lidl.
