Mo has had a load of stinkers this season but his stats are hiding the performances, yes strikers are there to score but we can’t afford to carry a player and that’s what we have been doing, similar to with Jota.

This talk of Salah deserving a free ticket is a red herring. We can’t lift a title on performance he had last season!

The players collectively didn’t turn up and tried to ghost through a game they would have easily won had they played to their potential this was a hallmark of last season where we only picked up 1 point from a possible 9 against promoted sides so please don’t tell me it was a spirited performance from Luton when it’s clearly an unspirited performance from Liverpool.

Spot on, Downey. Someone said on here that Salah had earned the right to miss chances or throw stinkersand Darwin had not so he should get the blame and deserves the smoke. What a crock of rubbish.

So much for fairness and equity with these types of double standards for those we like or favor. And for those we don't like and want to go after? No fairness for them. They get the business. Pathetic.

It was a spirited and determined performance from Luton who should rightly be proud of that, and a bad day at the office for Liverpool.
Bellyaching and whinging day after day doesn't change that.

FFS Oli - don't put words in peoples mouths, especially when it's written down and you can easily go back and re-read it! I never said Darwin is to blame, I said his finishing is inconsistent. I also said YOU cannot give Darwin a pass if you aren't going to give Mo a pass and THAT is a double standard. Am I more forgiving of Mo, yes, again IN TERMS OF HIS FINISHING. He has earned that given his history and the fact he is leading the team in both goals and assists and has done so for years. If his finishing becomes as inconsistent as Darwin's, then I will absolutely say so. Darwin is raw and inconsistent and that is simply an accurate statement. He works his a** off and I love that, but until he consistently scores, I'm not going to sit here and defend HIS FINISHING and that does not mean I don't like him. Jesus, it's like saying Trent isn't the fastest on the team - it's an accurate statement, doesn't mean I don't like him.

Don't make sh*t up to suit your own narrative. That is what's pathetic.

That was my beef with you cos if you go back and read my post, I told you that it was wrong to say Salah gets a pass or has earned the right to have stinkers which to me, is a double standard. They both should be held to the same standards regardless, was my main point. Nowhere did I say you ever said Darwin was to blame. That was my only problem with your post.
