Good to hear Layton Stewart was back on the pitch for the U-23’s. Thirteen months out is a long time, hopefully the young lad can get back on track as he seems to have been very highly regarded before the injury.

It will be a big ask for the lad to get back to what he was after that length of time out, fingers crossed he does. I remember 1 of the Ed's saying he extremely highly rated in academy at the time, was likened to Fowler coming threw.

Great news about Stewart who looked bright when he came on at the weekend. Midfielder Tom Hill had a knee operation in September 2020, that's twenty months ago, no sign of him making a return but he did attend an assimilation session with Northern Ireland recently which is a good sign.

At the time of his injury he was very highly rated.
