After yesterday's shambolic defensive display, when was the last time we could actually defend? This has been going on since Benitez left, which is totally unacceptable. We will never win anything until we sort this out. I can't understand why mignolet has not been replaced, why we persist with lovren. Surely the defence/ tactics should have been reviewed by the management? If not this appears negligible to me imo. I'm absolutely gutted with the way the club is heading. Love Liverpool and will support no matter what, just my thoughts. Peace.

We were decent defensively under kenny with steve clarke as well. Glen johnson enrique skrtel agger. Skrtel won our player of the year that season too I believe and then man city came in for him. I would still only take one of those players for our back 4 right now, so that's exactly the point. The current way we play does not lend itself to be solid defensively, van dijk's sheer phyiscal capabilities would certainly help, but we will still conceed plenty the way we play.

Things are not that bad, we're just as likely to roll Palace over 5-0 next match.
The team has obvious weaknesses but also many many strengths. What is important is how the manager and coaching staff address the weaknesses.
Chelsea were shambolic last season before their tactical tweak and then won 14 games in a row and stormed the league. There's no reason why we can't do the same, but it requires changes to be implemented.

I hope your right Ron, my concerns are that these issues aren't new and haven't been addressed. Wouldn't surprise me if we hammered palace, it's what happens the week after that concerns me.

There's a reason why we've not won anything in so long. It's because we don't address our issues. Can't see why we will start now.

Maybe because Klopp knows his reputation is at stake.
