What a game, what a victory. I just wonder, Ed001 and Reds, what's the thinking behind Chilwell being subbed off in that game. He was fired up and sometimes nasty, but was the most senior and experienced person on the pitch, and even if he had a yellow, they needed that level of experience and character in the game. Not that I'm complaining, but as a student of the game, I'm just curious what you guys make of that decision.

{Ed001's Note - he has been injured and was struggling for fitness. Plus he was not playing well and losing his head with his frustration. Bad choice for captain as he has a horrible attitude anyway. Off the pitch I mean. The mistake was not having a better option to change him, rather than changing him.}

Chillwell really showed his class picking on the kids.

Chilwell is a shallow, entitled man of small character. Other than actively vile people, like Joey Barton and El-Hadji Diouf, guys like Chilwell are the worst people to put in positions of leadership or build teams around. The Ben Chilwells of the world are obnoxious to be around but without any of the charm that accompanies leaders who may have obnoxious traits but also try to help others and have genuine conviction in their decisions.
The episodes at Anfield, where Chilwell was so unbothered about his duties as a captain he left a mascot alone in front of 60,000 fans, and last night, where he allowed his team to lose to a bunch of academy kids who are basically not even professionals yet show he is a disgrace of a captain.

Seems like a horrible person the way he was getting on.

Isn't that the Chilwell that started out at Leicester that we were chasing at the time?
Bullet well and truly dodged if so.
