Evening All

Just like to say a huge congratulations to what was a fantastic team performance 2nd half. In what could have been a tricky fixture and after a average 1st half performance without being pushed too much we moved up a gear and got a deserved result. Thought the ref was poor again today maybe it's rose tinted glasses with me but surly Kluiverts tackle was worse than what Jones got sent off for and the ref didn't even think it was a fowl and so no action can be taken by VAR thankfully Diaz was fit to continue and it didn't have any bearing on the final outcome. on to Wednesday night and the 2nd leg against Fulham who will be playing like their lives depends on it. No doubt it will be tough but hopefully we will have enough to get through this and onto our second home and another cup final.

Well done lads great team performance today.

All the best.

I thought the ref had a good game except for that Diaz incident. He ignored the dives and kept his cards in his pocket for the most part.

No Zippy, it's not about red-tinted glasses at all. What is true is true, red, blue, gold, whatever. Jones' tackle was never a red card and the powers that be decided it was. Several other instances this season, the same powers have decided to be more human. When do you draw the line? Stay consistent and keep the standards fair across board.
There was also the Lewis Clark tackle late on that could have been a penalty, and the Jota one that was ignored, probably as punishment for embarrassing the powers against Newcastle as opined by Alan Shearer!
After reviewing the game, I just can't believe Liverpool had more cautions in that game than Bournemouth. Even when you exclude the Kluivert situation, there were several cynical fouls and Madley just decided they were okay. Cook was very dirty in that game but got away with almost everything. Scott the same. In fact, it felt like the Bournemouth bos got emboldened after getting away with a few and got worse and worse and kept getting away with more and more tactical and cynical fouls.
Forget about today's scoreline; the level of officiating in England is at an all-time low. For the best league in the world, it's really sad to see. But it seems these guys are so untouchable they're more interested in closing ranks, making excuses and being defensive, rather than being genuinely committed to making improvements. Let's see how many English referees will make it to the Euros and the World Cup!

Jota’s left foot kicks the Bournemouth players heel. If anything it’s a dive.

Notsozippy if the ref missed the foul completely I don't see why VAR can't rule on that? The pen against us at Palace would be evidence of that.
