I’m read a lot of comments this morning. My take is the weather and pitch is a leveller and we saw with all the Big 6 teams struggling last couple of nights.

It didn’t help that we had several players coming back for minor injuries and illnesses but we did finish the game week one point higher than City.

Personally I’d love a 2 game cushion (7 points) and yes we did mathematically miss out on this chance but when I looked at the fixture list Leicester was always one of the banana skin games.

As a folllow up, my son is in year 9 and plays in his school football team with 5 boys signed up to academies. They’ve only lost 2 games in 3 years and both games were on a terrible pitch in awful weather. It is the same for both teams but it does reduce the quality aspect of the better team. Not an excuse. It is what it is.

I think it does effect certain teams more than others, teams that have more possession or want to pass the ball quickly a lot (generally top 6 teams) will suffer more in the snow than a team that wants to sit back and lump it forward (generally mid table to lower teams)

Perhaps we should only sign players from Iceland in the January window?

I think you are right about the weather. We saw yesterday ball was not moving as fast as should be on ground. That’s impact on passing game. Leicester played long balls so for them doesn’t matter.

Might get a horse not a player if we sign from Tesco Fc.
